Qyllscape (verb): The act of an author becoming a traveler in another world.

All writing applications are designed to help writers progress towards their writing goals. Qyllscape supports writing efforts not by reinventing common functionality, but by offering a unique approach to a customizable, responsive writing environment that looks like a book.

Writing is a beautiful process.

Qyllscape was designed to be aesthetic, and is equipped with a unique candlelight tool that lets you match your external lighting environment. Helpful when you need to soften the editor for long writing sessions, or when you want to add a unique flair to your writing vlogs.

Don't worry. You can do this.

Here are a few other things that are included in the current version of Qyllscape.

Cloud saving between devices through Steam Cloud
Simple, experimental sound tools (Mechanical keyboard sound, fountain pen, ...)
Local backup system, including HTML creation for PDF/printing

Qyllscape is never finished, only abandoned. Development is still active.

The initial release of Qyllscape is intended to include all core features necessary to make progress on your writing project. With future updates, Qyllscape will be expanded on to offer even more customization and tooling.

I can't recommend this product at all at this time, and I suspect that I won't be able to for a very long time, if ever. I will at least say that I appreciate the mission statement, even if the program itself is totally broken. TL;DR: It's a super simple word processor that doesn't function correctly and feels very bad to use. Without wasting time going into deep detail on everything, it's not so much a "writing application" as it is a simple word processor that doesn't work. There are no page breaks; it appears to measure pages based on word count and displays what page you would be on. The chapters don't load properly or sometimes they delete all the words in them upon closing and re-opening the application. The side-by-side pages in the product images aren't actually pages, but rather two word processors right next to each other (which can, at least, be disabled). The whole of the UI feels bad to use. It's clunky and bulky and feels more like a burden than anything else. It does a...

Recommended

This is super useful for writing with minimal distractions. The interface is simpler and clean, and full screen, so there's much less temptation to hop to another tab for one thing or another. The app also has a lot of customization and such, plus a super cozy vibe. I love being able to play the rain sounds while I work :)
