The game has it's charm, but the ending is meh and the game ultimately feels unfinished (there's a farm animal whose produce does literally nothing as an example). Had I dropped the game before actually beating it, I would've recommended it...but having experienced how unpolished/unfinished the game feels afterwards, you're better off playing another game.

No Place Like Home is a cute and relaxing sim where you play as Ellen Newland. A girl who decides to visit her grandfather, on Earth, for the very last time before she moves to Mars. However, she soon discovers that her grandpa is missing and that his farm was recently destroyed.
With questions on her mind and adventure in her heart, Ellen intends to save the environment, help the community, find her grandpa, and rescue the animals missing from his farm!

- Clean the world, destroy mountains of trash, vacuum all the rubbish, and recycle resources to build your very own dream farm! Everything you need can be found and recycled from trash, and if you befriend local neighbours, they may prove very helpful during your farming and adventuring endeavours.

- Find seeds, become a farmer, and use your produce to cook delicious dishes that can be traded for useful items! There are tons of plants, fruits, vegetables, flowers and trees to find and grow. You can also make honey, jams, mayo, and lots of other preserves to spice up the farming fantasy.

- Explore and go on adventures through many diversified zones. Trek through the wonderous Lonely Hills region and restore the damage done by its poisonous gasses. Save animals from icy weather in Frozen Peaks and fix the leak from an old factory that has turned the local flora into giant mushrooms. Break the giant dam and release the river to bring nature back to the desert.

- Find, rescue and befriend farm animals that have gotten lost throughout the valley. If you gain their trust and take good care of them, you can be sure that they will return the favour. Once you are ready, you can show off your fun side by giving them funky hats and throwing them awesome parties!

**TLDR; Fun but quickly repetitive, not worth full price** The game is really fun in the beginning. I started with the option to make everything for free because I wanted to play at my own pace and stay stress-free. But after playing for a while it became very repetitive. The world feels empty and honestly there’s so much potential here but it’s clear the game has been abandoned. The farming mechanics are clunky and frustrating. Crop placement is awkward, especially when playing with a controller. Storage is another headache, chests hold so little that you’re constantly crafting more only for them to fill up almost instantly, organizing them became a NIGHTMARE. As much as I wanted to give this a positive review, it really needs a lot of polishing and updates to be a game worth $20. If you’re still curious about the game, I’d recommend waiting for a sale, otherwise it’s hard to justify the price. Also, on a personal note, it gave me intense migraines and motion sickness,...
I just couldn't get into it. There's a lot of potential in it, but it's too unpolished for me to enjoy playing..
It's okay. The world is too small. It needs more adventures and characters.
I beat the game at 45 hrs. That was enough of that. It was fine, but the story was majoring lacking. There were many typos and grammar errors that would break immersion for me. The animals are the cutest part. Putting hats on them made me smile every time. Cute, but repetitive. 3/5.
Very clunky game mechanics, start of the game trying to teach you how to play feels super forced and just bizarre, not an enjoyable play. I made it 6 minutes in before stopping as I had already got fed up of how awkward the system was. Not entirely sure what the story was meant to be either. Not worth it.
.
Very cozy game besides the fighting, and a good story is a little buggy in the late game when you fill up the farm, or if the character you play as, when running, runs into invisible walls and gets stuck. Also, invisible walls appear everywhere from the beginning to the late game. Besides that, it is fun, albeit a little tedious for obvious reasons.
I'm having fun with it. There are some quality of life things that would be nice, but I'm still having a great time
So, the question is, do I recommend this game? I answer a hesitant yes. I played this after Fresh Start Cleaning Simulator made by the same group. However, bear in mind a couple of the achievements are a pain in the rear and one right now is undoable without using a cheat to get an item. Overall I enjoyed the exploring and cleaning up the world. While there is fairly frequent battling with funny spider 'bots and the like it wasn't generally too difficult (I do not do battle games for a reason) and a supply of food can help restore the damage. -Food is grown to process and use for exchanging for what you need--realistic enough but pretty soon it got to be a grind for me and since you don't need to eat much (I generally stick with the Super Chicken dishes) once you buy all the upgrades you no longer need to farm and that leaves a WHOLE lotta achievements undone if you're into that sort of thing. -I appreciate someone having a new idea on how to tend animals and although I enjoyed coll...
