Just don't buy it
Well... I don't know even how to start this review... First of all or let's say the first glaring issue is the awful graphics. I don't have any problem with monochrome pixel art but there is one thing, you must feel the thin edge, the limit. While Obra Dinn uses the same style and looks beautiful, Lighthouse Keeper, whelp... Sometimes you can't even tell what you're looking at. And things go worse, the author is so lazy that animations within the same place (the lighthouse inside and outside, the keeper guy) are the same from scene to scene and... that's not all! These animations loop back and forth so relentlessly that I felt sick after two 10-minute playthroughs. The second nausea-inducing flaw is the voice acting. I played this "game" twice: once in Russian (I suppose the devs are russian) and once in English. Both were unbearable. The narrator was likely the same non-actor who developed the game. User Reviews
You may love 1-bit pixel art and eerie stories, but even for a low price this game offers almost nothing. There are tries at puzzles that are incredibly trivial and the story itself is more akin to a one-sentence-horror-story. Playtime is exceptionally short and feels unrewarding. The whole of it plays like a demo despite being finished, and while the story overall is relatively solid, it really leaves much to be desired. That said - I think if you are into eerie stories told in a 1-bit-style, you might like this one. Pretty neutral opinion overall on my end.
If you can get this game for under a buck, its a good way to unwind from a hard day at work and increase your perfect games by +1. Best experienced with alcohol or some other mind altering substance.
