Kathy Rain 2 is a good sequel. It's not perfect, but overall it delivered what I was hoping for. UPs: - The gameplay is very similar to the first game, so there's no learning curve at all. Returning gamers like me can easily dive on in. - The breadth of the cast of characters is as good as the first. - The difficultly level is roughly the same as the first. I had to search for a hint three times over the course of the game. That's satisfactory. - NO MAZES!!! Mazes are my least favorite common part of point-and-click games. Kathy Rain 1 had only one brief maze, and Kathy Rain 2 has none at all. GOOD! - The humor in Kathy Rain 2 contains much more profanity than the first. While I don't need it, I also don't mind it because its quite believable for this cast of characters. Best Point and Clique game in 25 years.

I think this second episode should have worked out all the flaws that the first game had, still the UI has some serious flaws in it, for example there is no dedicated keyshortcut for the notebook, there is for the inventory, but then you need to click the notebook from there, and for some reason the developer has made the clickbox to small you have to click right in the middle or the notebook will not open, very frustrating! I also tried to finish to quiz but for some reason the second answer is not accepted, even though I know I have got the right answer...this has taken away most of the fun for me and I un-installed the game. Playing games should not be a chore. And lastly this developer has also fallen for the gender insanity just to be someone who is open and twisted about sexuality, that which destroys our kids everywhere on this planet! I will rate this game negative and keep it like that.

Fantastic. Such a great sequel. Hopefully not the last. I won't give anything away about the story, but I will say that it follows the first game extremely well. As before, the illustrations and voice acting are all top-notch. If you enjoyed the first one, don't miss this.

Really tedious puzzles...just not fun.

Really great investigation game - manageable tasks keep you on track in a logical way. Makes you feel smart as you solve it without anything being too obscure.

This is a really solid point and click adventure. It's exciting, well put together, fun and pretty addictive. I played the first one a few years ago and thanks to the recap was able to jump straight into this one. It's also got some really nice comic book style cut scenes and feels like a proper sequel.

10/10 - Modern point and click adventures doesn't get much better than this. Takes what was great with the first game and expands on it. Gorgeous pixel art, great soundtrack, great story, great voice acting, great puzzles; both the more elaborate and the regular inventory puzzles. This is peak adventure game and a modern classic.

Kathy Rain 2 is a phenomenal game and a rare find. It truly immerses you in the role of a character solving a compelling case, thanks to an outstanding story and solid gameplay. I have zero complaints about my experience and would highly recommend it. It's an absolute must-play and worth every penny. If only more games were like this!
