The worldbuilding in Lost in Random is intriguing and truly captivated me. The setting is atmospheric, the characters are quirky and colorful, and the English voice acting adds a lot of charm to its gloomy fairytale vibe. The story is a bit predictable — we play as an 11–12-year-old girl living in the bizarre world of Random, where people’s fates are decided by the Queen rolling her magical die. When our older sister is taken away, we embark on a journey to save her from the Queen’s palace. The combat system felt genuinely unique. While I’m not a big fan of card-based mechanics, it wasn’t overwhelming — there are only 34 cards, and I mostly used weapon and healing ones. There’s more to it than just randomly drawing cards, which kept things fresh. However, there were some downsides. The game had performance issues — especially on the fifth level, where it sometimes refused to trigger dialogue with quest NPCs. This was frustrating, as that level didn’t let you backtra...

the settings of the game is really good, gothic style platformer puzzle game, such unique combat, pretty old coded combat style, but cool mechanic implied into it, pretty good narration and interaction feels good as well, overall i'll give it a 7.8/10

I liked this game. I think this game is underrated. The dialogues, characters and game mechanic is a success to immerse the gamer into the game. It is like a playable Tim Burton movie. Art design is also remarkable. Every person who likes this type of game must try.

Very decent action-platformer but not without flaws. The game's strength is the world design: the six cities correspond to each side of a dice, and every city has a well-designed look, story and NPC's. On the other hand, the dialogs with the NPC's are often way too long and not always as funny as they probable were meant to be. The combat is a mixed bag as well; the idea of rolling the dice during battles to play your cards is awesome, but the execution is rather shallow because the amount of unique cards and enemies is rather limited. Some of the boss fights are awesome, while some other in the 2nd half of the game are rather basic. Despite these flaws, I really enjoyed the game until the end, because there are so many great and fresh ideas. Recommended.
TL;DR
Lost in Random is a well-written story with interesting combat mechanics. It's a little rough around some edges for achievement hunters who like to 100% a game, but it's otherwise an excellent game.
Dice to See You
Lost in Random is a very quintessential RPG about a hero going out and seeing the world. Across the board, it's a lovely game that has just enough going for it to keep it interesting across its playtime. The amount of story and writing in the game is absolutely commendable though; there's a lot of world-building for those who seek it out and it's lovely to see even one-off characters have some semblance of a (often humorous) plotline. Where the story kind of folds however, is in the somewhat uneven pacing of the combat. As it stands, it take just a little too long for the combat to get interesting, and then once it does, the final act shoehorns in so many fights that it quickly becomes tiresome. The earlier chapters offer so much...

This game is so beautiful. It's like a childhood movie or TV show that makes you feel good when you watch it for the first time or many times. I recommend this game to everyone who is looking for a game with great story and art style, plus it has silly characters and funny dialogues too!

Playtime when reviewing is my first playthrough with all collectables and very much enjoying the scenery. This game had good ideas and clever little stuff you could do. Your whole journey is narrated by your personal narrator who is very nicely written and whom you can mess with at some places. A very nice touch. Battling is done through card-mechanics, but it is not a card battler as such, it just involves cards. It was really fun for me. They really give you options to fight in your own style, sure the game give you the options, but you can use them as you please. The battling itself is very easy, you can take your time and think what you want to do next and dodging is godlike which makes not being hit easy. You also have defensive and heal cards on top of that so fear not, you will not be killed...probably. Can't fall into holes either, can just play and enjoy the story... Which is very good. A bit Brothers Grimm like in my opinion, with good characters and an interesting ...
