A charming little adventure rife with cheesy jokes and quirky lesbians, Ms. Director is a solid lil' entry in the line of RPGmaker horror games. Lighter on the horror than most, and probably better for it, there's a more solid focus on the sense of character and alternate take on the 1930s the game offers. The dialogue could use some editing passes, as there's more than a fair share of typos, but other than that it's a solid experience I'd recommend! Definitely looking forward to SketchyNonsense's future work, art, games or otherwise.

About This Game

The year is 1937, and actress Patricia Dahl has found herself struggling in a film industry that's under new, tighter restrictions.
Left high and dry in this film role drought, her last hope is a shady audition at an old mansion outside of town.
However, soon after her arrival, it becomes clear the director never had any intent of letting her leave alive.
Only with the help of the ghosts of the director's past victims can Patricia escape, and only with her help can the spirits finally pass on to the next life.

- A massive mansion to get lost in
- A Jazzy soundtrack to run for your life to
- Vain attempts at historical accuracy
- 10 ghosts to find and help cross over
- 5 different endings
- 1 detective ghost that won't leave you alone
- Far too many really stupid jokes.

HAD NO IDEA THERE WOULD BE THIS MUCH CONTENT AND IT'S ALL GOLDEN <3 I LOVE THIS GAME, AND THE EXTRA PARTS FROM THE DEV SO MUCH!!!
A game which shows a lot of charm and promise for the future of the developer. I've followed this game for a while, from it's beginning on itch.io to the steam release now. The game has the rough edges of a first major project made in RPG Maker, but it also contains the passion which shows a real drive to create, and I'm looking forward to seeing what the dev creates in the future! The characters are all well designed in a very real way. With the exception of the main character, I can visualize seeing the characters as real people. The period based clothing and aesthetics add to a nice feeling the whole game has. The game is in grey scale, but I feel like the contrast could be turned up a bit to make things pop. The color red is used a bit inconsistently. Sometimes, Important items are brightly colored red, which is effective at making them pop out. Other times, random objects are just red, and I feel like this hurts the general readability of what is important in the game world. One...
Alright, here the deal folks. Go buy this game, like 5$ or whatever it cost in your country ain't gonna bust your bank. Play this game seriously, surprise yourself.
Thank u sketchy for helping me get through the first half of the game wish I completed it while u were alive rest in peace
A game about a bunch of cool ladies who won't take any guff and are dressed to the nines. They struggle against a psychopathic and downright tasteless movie director and her creepy minions. Patricia the protagonist won't give up until every restless spirit can find peace. I just hope she'll do the same for me when I'm dead and a ghost.
So, what can I say about this game that will get you to buy it? T H I C C T H I G H S But seriously, this is such a well-crafted game. It doesn't have a whole lot going for it in the RPG Maker game play department (thankfully cliche horror chase scenes are few and far in-between), BUT, the story and characters? Amazing. The art style? Expressive and fits the game perfectly. It's worth every penny. I can't wait for a sequel. https://youtu.be/Hyg-_Ly6tYc
This game really brings me back to the Golden days of RPG maker. IB, Witch's House, Crooked Man. This game takes that formula and makes it NEW and CLASSY! The art style is amazing, the music is very immersive and enough endings to warrant multiple playthroughs. I definitely recommend playing this game
This was a really fun romp to go through. I didn't get the best ending on my first playthrough, but it was a lot of fun realizing everything I missed when I played through a second time and took a much closer look at things. Also yay lesbians.
This game is exactly why I keep coming back to RPGMaker projects. What an absolute gem of a time, great experience the whole way through with a feeling of uniqueness and sincerity that comes from a personal passion project. Story is good, and serves the gameplay well. What's more, there's a few well-hidden twists that I was not expecting for such a short, inexpensive game and was excited to have. The characters are fun, they have depth as necessary, and there was a good amount of extra detail that made at least the protagonists feel more than just 2d icons for you to experience the exploration through. I enjoyed meeting everyone, and there's so much personality in the dialogue and interactions, in the exploration and notes, in the descriptions of items and the character's reactions that I was still eating it up my second time through. I also want to say that there's good thought put into the playing of the game, not just the story and characters. Events and puzzles are well paced and...
