Very polished and fun physics-platformer. Also a lot more easy and accessible than most physics-based games of this sort. Almost too easy in fact. I did eventually hit a point where I had to redo a challenge 20+ times before passing it and felt like "oh yeah, now we're getting going!" but then that turned out to be the final level! Oh well, there's still a lot of optional bonus collectibles which I haven't gotten yet, so I'll be going back to snap those up still.

About This Game

Robotry! is played with a gamepad. Each analog stick controls one leg of your robot. The body of the robot balances itself automatically. You can walk by taking alternating steps, or jump by pushing against the ground. Grabbing, throwing, kicking, climbing and cranking are also all built upon direct physics-based control.

Help the merry orange astronauts do cool science experiments on different planets as you chuck yourself around the cosmos! Walk, run, skip, hop and tumble through the campaign in single player or join forces with a friend or two!

Who's the most elegant robo pilot? After you've finished the campaign, it's time to settle this in various multiplayer minigames playable with up to 4 players. Game modes include:
- Volleyball
- Bounce The Pengu
- Waypoint Chase
- Gem Hunt

- The main story is available as both single player and local co-op.
- You can play the co-op mode with multiple robots, or players can control different legs of the same robot!
- Throw around heebos, they donāt mind!
- Customize your robots!
- Collect secrets and explore the HUB, your sandbox-like spaceship playground!

Quite a fun physics platformer with cute art and characters. Kind of reminds me of Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy, except much less punishing. š That's not to say that it doesn't get difficult by the end, and I haven't gotten all the optional collectibles yet, so I assume there may be some extra challenges my way. Side note: The game doesn't seem to have a Steam Deck compatibility rating, but in my experience it works great. I played through the whole game on my Deck.
A good game revolving around its central mechanic of controlling legs of a robot. You stumble around, jump, swing, throw stuff, and do a variety of other situational actions. You can play it alone with a controller, or using half of a controller (in "one-legged" mode, which changes levels a little to be beatable like that), or with a friend in coop (each controlling one leg from their controller) or versus modes. Over time the game introduces a variety of little mechanics and one-off gimmicks. Save for a few levels, I would consider the difficulty to be moderate, but the game does let you skip a level and return to it later if you just can't do it. Its other notable qualities include:

Frog Zone (you have to see it)
A very stylish soundtrack
A hidden gem ! You can have fun both in solo play, or in duo. It was really enjoyable to play the whole game as 2 players with my friend. I'm amazed I've never heard of the game before, in 7 hours we didn't even find a single bug. The gameplay is unique and fun, really mind twisting. My brain almost hurt. I recommend ! The only downside is that you need to play with a controller, but you can't do otherwise since you need to control both leg independently in 360Āŗ
Fun challenging game that is good for adults as well as my 3 kids (ages 4, 7, 10). The 4 yo struggled a bit, but with how levels progressed she could keep along with us and even sometimes beat her siblings. The levels are really short and snappy and really focus on one game mechanic at a time. If you got it early, you weren't in tutorial hell, and you could breeze through the level. If you struggled, there were helpful holobots to show you how to do it and infinite respawns so you could do it till you succeed. All and all a great gameplay experience. We only encountered a single bug in the game. When you get your second leg, the camera didn't continue to the right so we were stuck. Restarting the level, and taking 30 seconds to get back to where we were fixed it, so no big deal, but the dev should poke into this to see what the deal is. After an hour of gameplay we made it a bit into the second world of the forest, and the vectory shaded art is very pleasing and easy to parse apa...
Very fun game for people who like Portal, Getting over it and just messing up trying to learn riding a bike over again.. I mean robot.
This game is made with love and it shows. Big thanks to Lockpickle team. And the game is not only entertaining but also educational, because you need to control two legs with two separate sticks; this breaks your brain at first and makes you use both hemispheres. It is very rewarding to figure that out and feel the progress. I like the pace, there are not too many dialogs, and they are easy to skip. Really gameplay focused. I played about 10 minutes on Steam Deck so far, and I'm getting into it.
I love the game! I played the demo some time ago and it was really fun so I can't wait to finish this game. It's a fun game, with a nice aesthetics and interesting controls.Being able to play in coop is a nice bonus! I really recommend :)
