I do like this game but there is one flaw: no matter how well you play, you will ALWAYS lose because sooner or later (even if a lot later) you will run out of cards... and no matter how many points you have, it still sux and you will still end the game with a feeling of losing. Yes there is free play but that takes the game out of it. So if the devs want to make this game even better, maybe have a wild card option? Or maybe throughout the game, when you hit certain points you get to "purchase" a small stack of new cards..? Anyway; the game is still worth even if they don't add this, but it would lengthen the playability (because I am getting tired of the "losing" feeling no matter how well I play)

About the Game
Dorfromantik is a relaxing building strategy and puzzle game in which you place tiles to create ever-growing, idyllic village landscapes. With Dorfromantik, you can immerse yourself in a quiet, peaceful world at any time and take a break from everyday life. At the same time, Dorfromantik offers a challenge for those who are looking for one: To beat the highscore, you need to carefully plan and strategically place your tiles.
In Dorfromantik you start with a stack of procedurally generated tiles. One after the other, you draw the top tile of the stack, place it on one available slot and rotate for the best fit. Thereby groups and combinations of landscapes are formed, such as forests, villages or water bodies, and you are rewarded with points depending on how well the tile fits.
On some tiles you will also encounter special objects that give you a quest: For example, the windmill wants to border 6 grain fields, the locomotive wants to be connected to 10 tracks or the deer wants to inhabit a forest with at least 50 trees. Fulfill these quests to get more tiles to continue the expansion of your landscape. The game ends when the tile stack is used up.
As you expand the landscape, you can advance into new, colorful biomes and discover pre-placed game objects that give you long-term tasks. Through these tasks you can unlock new tiles, new biomes and new quests.

Dorfromantik is a game I’ve genuinely enjoyed. Its charming art style and soothing soundtrack create an incredibly relaxing atmosphere. Despite its cozy visuals and mellow music, the gameplay can sometimes be surprisingly frustrating. Some tile placements, like getting a piece with three or four biomes early on, can feel incredibly unfair. And don’t get me started on the railway tiles. Drawing one with four exits is a moment of pure dread. Honestly, I’ve never understood the inclusion of railways in this game. They’re my least favorite part and clash with the otherwise cohesive and peaceful aesthetic. That said, even with these gripes, Dorfromantik remains a visually delightful game with a unique style, relaxing audio, and gameplay that’s easy to pick up for short, satisfying sessions.

I was looking for a chill cozy game to play when I wanted to play something but also watch videos or a movie and not have to pay attention to story lines or cut scenes. This game hits the spot, it is surprisingly deep, but at the same time simple. You can play it fast and loose and just try to build a cool landscape, or you can fuss over every move placing each tile in its optimal spot. Games can take 5 minutes or an hour and a half. Its loaded with achievements to keep the goal oriented sated, but the unlocks come fast even if you are not paying attention to how the tiles are oriented. Basically it can simply be a time killer or a puzzler that constantly challenges you to get a higher score. Highly recommended to all!
Most chill game out there. Perfect for winding down after a stressful day or for a break at work.
