Story branching – A game with an ambitious branching narrative, where your decisions not only determine the fate of the main characters but that of the entire world.
Unique mechanics – Each character features completely different mechanics and ways to fight, which can be further customized through trinkets and the skill tree.
Innovative Crafting system – Use treasures and recipes you find inside the dungeons to create and upgrade potions, weapons, and amulets.
Pick your poison – Choose a difficulty and a special effect that changes every time at the start of each dungeon and earn black bones used to improve characters at the dark forge.

In a nameless world, only a few survived the fall of God. Living in a hostile environment and feeding on what their barren land had to offer, four factions are bound to fight each other for survival. Victims of a terrible curse, these populations are condemned to sleepless nights, infertility, and doomed to die at the age of 40.
The only way to break the curse is to offer a Vestal, and a team of valiant warriors, as a sacrifice for a ritual lost in time: a bloody and harsh battle known as the War of Ascension.

Good news: the game is story-rich
Bad news: the story`s full of self-righteous under-educated manics and makes absolutely no sense
Good news: Instead of a single character, you have a party of three
Bad news: led by a cocky rude lesbian leader who happen to be a hopeless romantic, accompanied by an overly bullied victim and a blind girl (miraculously, she`s normal)
Good news: the antiheroes are cool
Bad news: they were all brutally murdered
Good news: it has excellent art and music
Good news: with great deck building system (talent trees are merely tolerable)

What a good, if rough game around the edges. A small team with a lot of passion creating a very fun game that never had it's more difficult parts take away from it.
Shattered Heaven is a deckbuilder though shockingly not a rogue-like (procedural dungeon generation does not make a roguelike) concentrating more on building your deck and characters between dungeon runs. And having a coherent narrative, that too. You have three characters with their own sets of cards and abilities and they learn individual talents/cards/etc as you progress. This gives them a lot more cohesion since they are designed to work together and with each other's abilities. I will say that the systems are very involved so it can be a tad complicated or confusing sometimes and you might need to look up terms in the glossary to remember what certain things do or how they interact.
