As a DM I see great potential in this tool, however, it is a still a bit glitchy and awkward to use. I am going to stick with my current tools for now, however, I am going to come back to it after a few updates to see how it improves and I would recommend trying it out to see if it's a good fit for you. Looking forward to seeing how it improves over time.

About This Game
- GME is a virtual tabletop designed to empower RPG enthusiasts around the world to come together, regardless of geography, with real-time map updates, integrated player chat, and ultra-low latency. Whether your players are near or far, you can maintain the flow of the game without interruption.
- Unlike many other VTTs, GME offers a one-time purchase model with no subscription fees or hidden charges. Best of all, players can join and play for free, ensuring that everyone can participate without additional financial burdens.
- Our drag-and-drop interface, coupled with a vast library of over 3,500 assets (including RPG-themed minis), lets you build a world as rich as your imagination.
- Bring your story to life with a variety of stunning VFX, including spell effects, portals, explosions, shields, smoke, lighting, camera filters, and weather changes.

- GMs of all levels can fight burnout and find community in the GME Discord server. Join events, participate in competitions, and connect with fellow GMs who share your passion. Swap maps, enter giveaways, ask questions, give recommendations, or simply hang out with other cool people (including the devs!).

- The GME team actively seeks input from the community, creating a user-driven experience that evolves in line with the needs and desires of its players. This structure allows them to quickly implement bug fixes, address user pain points, and develop features that the community has requested.

- GME isn't just another VTT; it’s designed for and by GMs to address the unique challenges GMs face. Join our community of storytellers who have transformed their campaigns with GME. Download Game Master Engine - GM Edition today and revive your love of the game.

- Finding the time to create an engaging campaign from scratch can be challenging, especially for busy GMs or those looking to run a last-minute session. GME will soon offer pre-built story modules that come with everything you need to run a campaign, including detailed storylines, pre-built maps, and fully populated miniatures, allowing you to dive right into the action with minimal prep time.

- Placing plants and trees one by one can be satisfying...until you have a huge map to fill in. Our botanical brush feature will allow you to select a list of foliage items from the asset library, then let you "paint" that foliage directly onto the map, saving you hours of work while creating lush, eye-catching environments your players will be itching to explore.

- Sometimes you just need a map, fast. With the push of a button, GME will generate a custom environment just for you. Even better? It's fully editable, which means you can tweak the design as much as you'd like, or easily delete the entire thing and start again.

This is a great tool for GMs! You will have so much customization you can build any world you imagine and then bring your players into it. Easy to use great tool and fun way to enjoy role playing games. Also helpful when we cant meet in person keeps everyone on the same page no arguing over rules great tool 10 out of 10!
This is a really cool tool for making 3d battle maps and im really excited to see where it goes from here. Right now, it is very detailed but there are still a few bugs to work out especially regarding tokens and things like that. I would recommend this for anyone who wants to make battle maps and has a lot of time and patience to work with the clunky controls but otherwise amazing system.
The idea is great. But currently, do not buy this. Simple things like an "undo" button do not exist. Placing walls takes forever and a half, because for some reason, you cannot just mass spread walls. Misplace a wall? Well time to start over. There is no delete button for terrain.
Summary: Recommended if you use DnD or something similar. Not Recommended if you use a less conventional rule set due to current lack of customization. I'll be curious to see where this progresses to. It's too early for the tool to be useful for a large variety of rule sets. I personally play Ironsworn which doesn't use a lot of the stats that a preset onto the minis. I would like to see more customization so I can make the stats of my mini applicable to my rule set. I really like the idea of creating a world map and then linking battle maps to specific areas of the world map. The controls are a little rough around the edges but that can be polished up in due time. I'll be keeping my eyes on this. Could be an amazing tool in the future. For now, I'm leaving it as Not Recommended with the lack of customization and controls being off but I do think it will be a valuable tool that will sway my opinion later on.
For starters: I know this literally just came out and is in its beta. Props: The props for the most part look really good. I'm really impressed with the variety of items you can already place and can't wait to see what will get added in the future. A few items are buggy in the environment. Some like bedrolls "sink" into the ground on certain tile types. Environment: The program gives you plenty of options to really take advantage of the atmosphere. You can add tons of effects, such as fog, weather conditions, lighting options, backgrounds, the list goes on and on. I love these features and feel like they're actually the most fleshed out part of the entire tool. Interface: Although I've seen other people complain about the interface I think it's ok, it just takes some getting used to. There are definitely some functions I would like to see, like an undo function. Map Exporting: Overall a nice tool, especially for making 3D maps, but exporting th...
The tile painting tools are aggravating because the lowest brush size almost fills an entire square/hex usually spilling into the nearby tiles. If an option to snap to tiles was available that would be appreciated. The shift+f didn't work to fill the whole area, but just holding Shift I was able to fill by dragging an expanding box The colours in the tile selection are slightly off and not what i was expecting when I placed them. The prop placement is also kinda wack, you must place the object as is before being able to rotate it and there is no selection tool, i was constantly adding more when i was trying to select the first. (trying to fence an area, using fences from misc.) I added a light source in the wrong place but i cannot delete or move it. I do see this as a good tool that I will continue to try and use as it develops and leaves early access.
This program has potential, but it's just too difficult with a few issues to be useful or for me to recommend in it's current state. There are alternatives out there, some free, that may not look as good as this, however, they function quicker and easier. As a GM, I want something good but simple and quick. This will provide a good end result, however the time and effort it takes to get there is not worth it. Could use some more tutorials as the learning curb is quite high, even simple navigation can be difficult. Also more basic items/structures, simpler placement, and an undo button would save a lot of effort.. After fiddling around for almost 2 hours, I just wasn't content with the process or the result, and thus refunded. I will keep an eye on it though, as I said, I see the potential, and it could be very good and useful, however, right now, I don't feel it's helpful or worth it.
Game shows a lot of promise. As of right now it’s all for show and there’s no way you can actually play DnD with it unless all the players are in the same room or you use something like roll 20. But once they add ways to let players roll die and control minis then this will be amazing. EDIT: They did it boys, they added a very nice system where you can roll in chat but then even add the result as either healing or damage making for quick combat. Amazing software for a DM.
As a D&D DM I see that what this is trying to be, is amazing. Unfortunately as it stands it misses quite badly. It is in early access though so fingers crossed. My main issues, to name a few: 1. Selecting individual items you have already placed is not a thing. Can we not press ESC or right click to remove whatever selected item is attacked to the mouse cursor? Also clicking on certain items brings up a radial menu (only a few items did this work for) and I had zero clue what anything on the radial menu meant... Explanations are key to being user friendly. 2. The camera movement is awfully frustrating. 3. Mousing over objects for a name/description only works with a handful of the items. 4. Placing creatures/items upon walls isn't a thing. If I create a keep or whatever I tend to have battles with archers upon the walls after all :) 5. It really is not user friendly. 6. Zero tutorials mean nothing but frustration. 7. I also could not get the table top background to work for...
