picked this up cuz Two Scoop Games is awesome (I'm really looking forward to Kick Bot once it leaves beta), and wasn't disappointed. obviously, it uses that asset pack that lots of indie devs are using, but it's not an asset flip and the only real problem that comes of it (aside from me feeling that its assets are visually serviceable; your mileage of course may vary) is when the writing tells you that a character has bloodshot eyes or something like that which is not conveyed in the character model--which didn't bother me too much. all in all, it's timely, reasonably priced, well written, doesn't overstay its welcome, and the promise of extra stories next year has me interested to check this out again in 2022. takes about 20 minutes for a playthrough of both stories that are included now, but you can replay for different choices, so the developer's estimate of ~1 hour is probably apt. with the promise of 2 more stories, there will presumably be around ~2 hours of good story in here, w...

About This Game

Set during four pivotal epidemics that changed history, Plague Doctor: Contagion 430 BCE–2020 AD is a single-player, first-person narrative adventure about greed, compassion, and courage in times of crisis.
Explore four cities—each battling a deadly outbreak—and make choices that will save or cost the lives of countless people.
Roam the streets of Athens, recording the effects of a mysterious virus so that future generations might recognize and treat it. Inspect the merchant ship Grand-Saint-Antoine for signs of the plague as an official of the Marseille sanitation authority. Bring an exploding influenza outbreak under control in Philadelphia, mere weeks after the super-spreader Liberty Loan parade. Experience the disorienting reality of quarantine in Louisville, while protests against racial injustice rock the city.
The tone of each chapter is as unique as the disease outbreaks themselves. The only constant is that you are in the center of it all, doing your part to prevent a growing pandemic by controlling the contagion.

A Compact Narrative Game:
Plague Doctor: Contagion 430 BCE–2020 AD was made with care by a very small team to be a short but impactful experience—the full game is estimated to take around one hour to complete. Its linear narrative is driven by player exploration and immersive storytelling rather than combat or puzzles. Dive into the four chapters one by one, or all in one sitting—it’s up to you.

A series of interactive short stories that explore pandemics throughout history. There are dancing skeletons 👍🦴
First of all, this is more of an interactive documentary than a game, so don't expect any game-like features in this. With that said, if you're interested in history, mainly pertaining to deadly diseases, than this is worth checking out. This consists of short stories where you can interact with people and objects of the time to learn about events that led to the disease the level is based around. The controls are simple, but functional, and the graphics are acceptable for this type of program. For the price, I would say this is worth the money, and I'm looking forward to additional content in the future.
This is a short one, but cute, with well-written text and surprisingly educational. Even a few little jokes and secrets. I look forward to the upcoming DLC.
It is too short! Half hour gameplay tops! In my opionon, not worth $3!
