This game is actual solid and fun. However, I'm not sure why I don't enjoy playing it as much. Is it because the visuals are simple? No, I actually enjoy the visuals; they are simple, but they fit well with this title. Also, it seems the visual effects are more dramatic than in World, which is something I like. Is the combat too fast? Not so, but I still like the speed and complexity, especially the wirebug system, which allows our hunter to move more freely when striking and evading monsters, even switching between move skills. Plus, you can swing around anywhere. The monsters are very diverse, particularly if you own the Sunbreak DLC. The armor and weapon designs are more distinctive and cool. Yet, I must say the game lacking with the DLC; cosmetic DLC clothes are sold individually, which is a bit of a bummer knowing that they were supposed to be as a single bundle. And also with the Gacha talismans; because the gacha affect the talismans' abilities/skills, farming feels l...

You beat the crap out of big lizards. What's not to love? For a port of a Switch game, it's not bad at all, but the portable framework is painfully obvious. I friggin' HATE what they did with joining quests online though.

**The game is fun however you play it.** That being said, I'm a scrub hunter, but I find it more fun if you keep your weapons and armor at High Rank meta when facing G Rank monsters if you are a fan of games like Dark Souls. That Makes Sunbreak far more enjoyable and every monster truly deadly. It also made me make use of other game mechanics like bombs, switching status weapons mid fight, gathering poison toads and so on. I did allow my palicos and palamutes to use G rank gear and I used G rank talismans making them the only source of rank 4 deco slots. Oh, and Rampages stay relevant as they are a good source of farming High Rank mats and custom weapons!

I think it's personal preference whether or not you like the direction they took with Rise after World. For me it's too flashy, too much QOL, too fast for a MH. I still had a blast playing it though.

For players who don't have much time to play games and need to study or work, Rise is the best choice. It would be great if all platforms can play together.

I’ve sunk hundreds of hours into it on Switch. I just love the arcade vibe — the rush, the speed — it’s so much more fun and energetic than the slow, heavy, and monotonous previous game.

The game is a great homage to older monster hunter titles. Even though Capcom keeps simplifying and/or removing mechanics with each title, I would still highly recommend.

My 2nd favorite Monster Hunter, right below Worldborne. Even with the lower topology of creatures, objects and terrain, this game is as immersive as ever. The addition of palamutes is my favorite thing about this game, and the fact that they brought Amaterasu to this!? Peak. I always run double palamute with elemental builds. I do heavily recommend you play this with friends however. 9.9/10
