About This Game

DOGMAN is a survival horror/mystery game based off of the Michigan Dogman legend. Hikers have gone missing in Hopkins State Park. Secret trail cams need to be retrieved in the Blue Ridge Campground. Suspicious happenings have been noticed in Amberg Industrial Park. Rumors of a horrific beast roaming the woods has taken hold of the town, and something sinister is to blame for the disappearances. No one has put the rumors to rest.
The player will be deployed to various locations to track down objects of interest, while something stalks from the shadows, waiting for the opportune moment to strike. Stealth, awareness, and hiding places will be the player's best friend. Featuring four unique maps, DOGMAN offers a diverse gameplay experience, sure to frighten every time. Will you emerge alive?

The legend of the Michigan Dogman goes back a long time. In 1887 Wexford County, two lumberjacks sighted a 7 foot creature with the body of a man, but head of a dog, stalking them and walking on 2 legs. In 1764, the Beast of Gevaudan terrorized and killed multiple people, and ultimately required the king of France to send the military to dispatch the beast. The beast was said to have had a ferocious smirk on its face, razor sharp teeth, the ability to walk upright, and a huge size advantage. These accounts are historical record. Something may really be out there in the woods, waiting, and stalking...

This game is an absolute steal for the price. It combines the right amount of mystery and horror, making something much more terrifying. Terror. It does what "Bigfoot" (another game on steam) failed to do. After a few hours bigfoot becomes predictable and loses its replay ability. In my opinion this game does the exact opposite. You never know how the dogman will act, or react. It comes with 3 levels (including the winter DLC). For anybody into cryptids, this game is must have. This game is terrifying however, beware.

Great value for the price. There's not a huge amount of things to do in-game as of now. The only objective currently is searching for the missing people while trying to survive. Hopefully new things are added later so you can interact with your surroundings more; perhaps like searching a cabinet for something to defend yourself against dogman etc. The game has great potential nevertheless! I expect it will follow a similar direction as games such as Bigfoot or The Goatman.

Oof. Not bad for a solo Dev project, but definitely not for me. The first level I tried had so much rain that I could barely see. The maps are huge so I wandered for a VERY long time before even finding a body. Then the Dogman killed me. I tried again, same thing. Decided to try another map. This one was foggy, but it looked like I would be able to see easier so I went for it. While I could see perfectly fine, I couldn't find any of the 'radio' pieces that I was looking for. I searched all the houses that I could find, died to the 'blind' dogman even though I stopped moving when I heard him. Tried again, same thing. Tried a third time, got stuck in a tree. Tried a fourth time, got stuck inside another tree... I gave up at that point. While the game runs mostly ok, I am bothered by getting stuck in the non-collidable objects and the maps being so big that I can't find anything. The story of the Michigan Dogman is a spooky one for sure, there just wasn't enough to keep me interest...

Dogman is the greatest game to ever be created. This game encompasses the absolute powerhouse that is the indie development community. Daniel George is a video game prophet. This man single-handedly cured my crippling depression with this masterpiece of a creation. 10/10 I would let Daniel officiate my marriage.

This game is super-scary, I recc it highly, and my only complaint is that it's very hard to even see the Dogman in most of the scenarios.

While, this game is fair. The game has good ideas. The motion blur can be a bit much. An the tree leave effects can use a bit more cpu than, I would like. An the DogMan audio ques can be not a good representation of where the DogMan is, and the DogMan is hardly where you would assume he was at since, there are programming mistakes. For a $3 indie game that does more than, what SlenderMan did. I think added in the extra dlc (which is included.) After, much consideration, and reflection based on what I now know about, the game. The DogMan is well worth the asking price. Based on the $3 vs what you could get for $3. The game does have some polish. An with some fan mods. This game could be amazing. I find myself split weither I like this game or not. If you like FNAF, Slender, or indie horror games. The DogMan is well worth the few dollars. Considering, this game is less buggy than, tripple a studio games. I think throwing some money to the dev was well worth it. I did have fun ...
