About This Game

A roguelike puzzle adventure.

We like 2048 and we love dungeon crawlers. So, just for the fun of it, we mashed the two together. RogueSlide is what happened.

Position is everything. Gameplay is casual, yet each decision is strategic. Each move presents a new puzzle as you slide tiles around the board, slaying monsters, drinking potions, and casting spells.

Survive 3 worlds of unique enemies and obstacles with 5 unlockable characters. Or try your hand at the Daily Dungeon or Arena modes.

It's been a while since I've played a game that legitimately makes me think differently. I love all the deck builders, tower defense, auto battlers, platformers, rogue-likes, etc that come out in the indie scene, but this one just feels fresh and new. It's not like there haven't been sliding puzzles in the past, but combining it with chess-like tactics is just one of those things where you wonder, "Why didn't I think to design a game like this?" I really appreciate games that go with a simple premise but just execute on it so elegantly that it doesn't feel simple at all. Insert all the usual "easy to learn, difficult to master" cliches here, but it's true. Once you realize what's going on it just clicks and pulls you right in. Here's another cliche: "it keeps you wanting to play just one more time". Kudos to Retromation for featuring this on his channel. I give it 9/10

I got sucked in right away. Fun visuals and sound design. Easy and intuitive to get started. Very satisfying swipe attack movements. Really fun.

Ultra repetitive after ONE minute. Literally. One. Minute. This game should be free.

A very nice, well designed and aesthetic little game. Fun gameplay. I wish it had more content. However. I have to post a negative review because I thought i was buying a rouge-like, but it isn't one in any way shape or form. Edit: fine, fine.
A Competent Combat-Puzzler
Let's get this out of the way: Rogueslide ain't exactly a looker. But the same could be said of Slay the Spire. Like Slay the Spire, Rogueslide skirts the fine line between challenge and BS in terms of what it throws at you, and your primary concern will be limiting HP loss, since recovery is hard to come by. But while there are no shortage of deck-building rogue-lites nowadays, Rogueslide is quite novel in terms of its mechanics. It feels more tactile, somehow, to send every piece on the board careening in a given direction, slamming into and destroying each other. I had a - barely - successful run on my first try, scraping by with single-digit HP. At one hour logged, I could ignore the extra modes this unlocked and just refund the game, but it was an interesting and fulfilling enough experience that I don't plan to. That said, even if a successful run only takes an hour, the lack of a mid-run save+quit function is unacceptable. I'll give ...

It's 2048 + a dungeon crawler. I'm going to be playing this one for a while.

Simple solid and fun puzzle rogue-like. If you have ever played any of the 2048 games, you understand the core mechanics. Nice enemy variety and obstacles that keep the runs feeling varied. Plus you really cant beat the price. GG!
A neat concept but unstable running.
As you can see with little under two hours playtime, I unfortunately can't really finish the game as always in the 3rd area the game starts to stutter after each move and eventually the game crashes. :( Hopefully it works on your device and that way be worth the 1 buck asking price.

It does what it says on the box. It is a dungeon crawling tactical game (it has level ups, but I hesitate to even call it RPG mechanics), where the key gimmick is that you use the "tilt the board" style sliding mechanics from games like 2048 to move yourself and the monsters. A little capriciously random, and a lot unforgiving of mistakes.
