What a game ! Good story, a bit weird, but told in a nice and entertaining way. Our task: build a time machine, as ... some things had gone wrong with the reactor at our working place. Well, no problem.... on our way lie puzzles, some are really good, all are logical, and for the one or other maybe challenging. E.g. if you don't like math, then one will not be to your liking. But most are entertaining - a skip is possible. A plus, I think. Another nice aspect: we play as Daniel as well as as George - the roles change at certain points in the game. Both chars have other items and other options for solving their tasks. If you exactly know, what to do, you won't take too long for the game - but my first playthrough took me 20 hours, which I spent well entertained. I loved the time spent in the game, some small bugs are still in, but the dev is working on them and even now, I could finish without bigger problems So, don't miss this game - highly recommended

About This Game

If Fusion Were That Easy is a classic point-and-click adventure.
You take on the role of the young physicist Daniel, who is working on a reactor for cold fusion. As the project spiraled out of control, a mysterious association emerges that somehow appears to be involved. When Daniel meets crazy old George, the chaos seems perfect.
A mixture of 2D pixel art and 3D characters and elements creates a unique visual world of experience that invites you to explore and discover. Games like "The Secret of Monkey Island" or the Deponia series, but also Professor Layton, have inspired this game. With an exciting story, lots of humor, and challenging puzzles, If Fusion Were That Easy offers hours of fun entertainment.
In summary, If Fusion Were That Easy can be described as a modern retro point-and-click adventure that you can never have enough of.

The hero of If Fusion Were That Easy is the young physicist Daniel, who likes to get himself into a mess from which he has to free himself again. In addition to Daniel, the player also slips into the role of George, a crazy guy who is often helpful, but all the more confused.
In the present, cold fusion is on the verge of a breakthrough as things spiral out of control. Daniel seems to be the only one who can still stop a disaster. But he needs help - and then the Clan gets in his way, a mysterious association that causes Daniel a lot of trouble. Can our hero find a way to stop the inevitable and save the world? What does the Clan want? And are things really as they seem?
The coherent game world offers a lot of different settings and scenes in which the player can move freely. The city park, the nuclear power plant, or the tavern are just some of the more than 40 different scenes that the player has to visit and master in addition to the numerous minigames and puzzles.

Simple controls and a sleek user interface make the game suitable for die-hard fans of the genre as well as casual gamers. "If Fusion Were That Easy" is designed to be controlled with a mouse and keyboard, but the controller support also allows you to play comfortably from your couch.

ENG: One of those cases where, behind a complete commercial failure, lies a hidden gem that I feel lucky to have discovered. In this case, it's a classic point & click retro comedy, very challenging (I had to rely on guides and videos), with beautiful graphics and short animated sequences that add 'the special touch.' Fans of The Secret of Monkey Island and games like that will love it, without a doubt. En este caso, es una clásica comedia point & click de corte retro, muy difícil (tuve que apoyarme en guías y vídeos), con un apartado gráfico hermoso y cortas secuencias animadas que le dan 'el toque'. If there was ever a time when I would have liked to have a "middle rating" option, this was it. A point & click adventure game with easy puzzles, a few minigames (most of them would have been cool were it not for annoying interfaces and non-existent instructions; you had to figure out what to do, and also deal with how bad or slow or boring it was to get them going), average characters, a run-of-the-mill story, and some pretty bold (and often awful) choice for replacing voice acting (I'm betting they wanted to make it fully voiced but couldn't due to budget reasons). One "twist" in the story got me, which inclined me towards the positive, although I found the ending to be horrendous. Had there been a good and a bad ending, it would have been much better. It had some very lazy moments, some very random moments, some very lazy and random moments, and it could also be very boring at times. However, in spite of all that, it still had some cool ideas, a few characters that stood out (especi...
I eventually decided the game warrants a recommendation to people searching for their next point-and-click adventure, but there are quite a few caveats. It is voiced only by grunts and utterances, with the exception of one computer terminal near the end, so reading is mandatory. English translation is serviceable, but far from perfect. The story and dialogue are simple, and the characters do not undergo any development. The ending is abrupt. Regarding the irresponsible player character, I have seen this criticism in negative reviews of other point-and-click adventures like the Deponia series and Lucy Dreaming, so will give a fair warning to people who are sensitive to this kind of thing and do not find it even slightly amusing - the protagonist is a grade A prick, who has no qualms about ruining other people's lives for personal gain (at times quite literally by shortening them). Characters walk slowly and cannot exit locations quickly through double-clicking. However,...
A fun puzzle solver to keep the mind ticking over
If Fusion Were That Easy is a fairly middling adventure game that is saved by its hilarious ending. It's packed with cozy puzzles that will all be familiar to adventure game fans - mix random items of two different colors to make a third color, combine implausible objects to make a fishing rod, etc. This might seem wacky to people outside the adventure game world, but it's pretty par for the course if you're a fan. The more annoying part of the game is it overuses that gag where you thought you had all the stuff, then you try to do the thing and it fails for a new, unexpected reason, so now you need to go all the way back and prepare everything again. That works when the game has strong comic timing, but this doesn't hit a lot of the time. I spent most of the game just going through the motions because I find the mechanics of adventure games relaxing, but not because I cared about anything that happened. It's not a bad game per se, it's just not a very good one. But then... the e...
