Beautiful game, touching, heartfelt, and tells a story everyone has lived through and can relate to. A bit sluggish at times, if i have one critique it would be the slow/repetition at the end of the game jarred me from the emotional journey it had built up to. Highly recommend the game regardless of that minor setback.
Fun and cute story driven game, 10/10 I would recommend.
Beautiful game!
How DARE you make me cry, even if I had suspicions from the beginning!! Also adored the amount of gaelic in the game, more games should with a proud chest show cultures they know alot of. Could have a whole own game about shepherding the sheep. Would play fetch again.
Beautiful/heart wrenching story. Be prepared to cry if you have owned a dog
Farewell North feels like a classic homecooked meal. Damn it looks good, and you are hungry. The vegetables are not the best, slightly overcooked, and a bit of a slog to get through. You get to the meat, it's juicy and tastes good, even if it's a bit chewy. But when you get to the dessert at the end, oh boy was it all worth it. The gameplay is pretty simple. The mechanics have some cool puzzle concepts but they get repetitive and there's a lot of walking. I mean, a LOT. This game does suffer a bit from not having a map, I personally found it pretty difficult trying to figure out where I was on the islands, especially after disorientating cutscenes. If I hadn't used a guide with maps, I would have been lost a lot. The art style is honestly stunning. The highlands are breath-taking with the switch between grayscale and colour and there are some gorgeous cutscenes, especially towards the end of the game. I did find your human a little less well-designed compared to the rest of the...
This game is so much fun! It made me cry a couple of times, especially at the end. It has such beautiful scenery as well as an amazing storyline.
Extremely disappointed with this game. I played half an hour of it and gave up for a few reasons.. Number 1. I didn't expect to practically be playing the game in black&white, extremely under-stimulating and boring. The lack of colour for this length of time honestly ruins the beauty. Number 2. The mechanics are awful, even though i only played for half an hour i already despise the canoe scene, i crashed into everything and had no better luck on simplified settings, not to mention the inertia of the walking/running of the dog is a nightmare, he either turns or jumps too slow or doesn't bother at all, very dissatisfied. Number 3. The lack of stamina on top of everything else is such a bad touch.. i'm playing as a dog.. can't dogs run for miles??... I've said enough. Glad i can get a refund on this.
How dare you.
