played a ton of point and clicks since the early 90s, this one is in my top ten, has great sci fi story and environment plus i didn't struggle too much only cheated twice and one was painfully obvious, minor criticisms would be it was very dark and could not find a brightness setting and the flashlight is a bit weak, also maybe too many green hot spots showing useless information stuff like pointing out wall lamps and stuff advice when playing would be use your phone to take photos of what you think might be a clue image, its faster
It's nice to have a game exceed my expectations now and again and this game has accomplished that! Really enjoyed the characters, the acting, the story, the setting (they wear their influences on their sleeve, think The thing, Alien, Event Horizon etc) and it had me gripped till the end, it asked some interesting and deep questions and had something to say, it didn't answer every question, but I felt satisfied and left wanting more in a good way. I do wish the character diary entries etc were voiced though, but I appreciate the budget would've only taken them so far! I liked the puzzles as well (except for one, the gene sequence one), they did perhaps lean towards being relatively easy, with a few exceptions, which is fine, I don't need all of my games to be Riven hard! But they were logical at least, but sometimes it was a bit of a case of try every item on a specific puzzle till it one works, I would've appreciated the ability to take screenshots in game of important info though, bu...
Another grim adventure game - Played both the first and this one and both are a good time especially for old school point and click fans, however be warned that it is grim and gory so go in prepared! Easy recommend for fans of old school point and click and body horror
Lots of gore. Insanely tough puzzles. Unpredictable story. Great immersion. Great visuals. Extremely frustrating at times. Just long enough. Would recommend. (y)
Moses is life
Some puzzles have their difficulty in stupid obscurity, some are infuriatingly slow and some are both. But the story definitely makes up for it!
Can never figure out what to put in a review, I just wanted to leave something positive for the algorithm or whatever. If you enjoy personal stories with great voice acting set in an intriguing world that feels both lived in but also brutal then I can't recommend this game enough. It's not too rough on the point and click moon logic scale, either, and the game does a lot to help you if you get stuck on a puzzle. Only cons I can think of is that you might need to play, or at least watch a video, on the two previous games on the franchise, Stasis and Cayne, since, while this game isn't a direct sequel perse, a lot of the lore of the world might be a bit confusing. I say might since I already knew the broad strokes of those games, but I can imagine that someone who goes in blind might not understand what's going on with a few concepts of the world.
