About This Game

You play as Ada, a reactivated Shaper tasked with reclaiming New Elysium from the cunning Overlords and their corrupted robots. Using advanced weapons and unique abilities, you will shoot & smash your way through dangerous towers and defeat the Overlords to put an end to their corruption of the city.

  • Gun down hordes of enemy machines with relentless and punishing close-range combat in which every bot destroyed makes you stronger.

  • Face the Overlords and adapt to their evolving powers and tactics by mastering highly customizable weapons, movement, and combat abilities.

  • Steal the Overlords’ Cores and harness their powers to craft and transform both your playstyle and appearance.

  • Unlock new weapons, abilities and talents to permanently increase your survivability and maximize your combat potential with every run.

  • Deploy your own traps, power-ups and hacks in each Overlord’s tower to turn the tides of battle in your favor.

  • Explore vibrant nostalgia-inspired locations to discover hidden upgrades and weapons throughout.

  • Be warned! Just as you grow stronger by defeating Overlords, the journey ahead will also become more challenging.

  • Defy the Overlords and save the city to the might of adrenaline-pumping rock music that will have you diving head-on and fist-first into action.

If I could give a neutral rating I would but given the choice of recommend or don't I have to say I don't The Bad: The runs are SO long. it's 4 sections for every run and each section takes as long as a full run in other games like Deadlink or Roboquest. The builds don't have the level of impact you would like either. The cores and abilities just feel meh. One gives you double jump, which is just a standard in the genre, and you basically end up just using that because of the utility. Finally, Unskipable scenes in a game you want to feel fast paced is just bad, About to fight a boss? Here's a 1min conversation you can't skip! Just finished a level? Here's a 20s animation you can't skip! It's so jarring and breaks up the flow of an otherwise fluid gameplay experience. The Good: The game play is so tight, fast and fluid. It really is a blast to clear a room. The modifier system is unique and fun and can lead to fun builds in that sense. The graphics and colors are fun and look goo...

I don't know where these recent negative reviews came from, this game is like a good, honest, 7/10. Polished, multiple mechanics that you can use throughout your runs, lots of weapons and unlocks, some secrets, decent modifiers and challenges. If you like rogue-lite shooters I would be very surprised if you didn't get enjoyment from this game.

Having beat it twice I can definitely say its worth the 25 dollars. A good bit of build variety and the moment to moment gameplay is very addicting. It gives Mega Man aesthetic and I love it

Modern Doom mixed with a rogue-like. Has some performance problems mine were specifically on the garden map and runs are 1hr+ so it can take some dedication to make it through a full run and super punishing in terms of time lost if you lose. All of the debuffs to make your game harder to get the true ending are pretty okay outside of one that can make the game pretty annoying where all enemies are shielded except for a few and you have to kill them in order. Normally not a problem but sometimes the path finding of the enemies is bad and it will take forever to find that one enemy that you need to kill to unlock the rest of them. The different power cores are fun and there is a large variety of weapons and abilities to use as well as buffs you can choose at the start of the run to make certain weapons and abilities more or less common to find in your run if you're looking for a specific build. Each weapon and ability you come across has a modifier on it and you can destroy the weapon to...

One of the better rogue-style FPS games I've ever played. The more you play, the more you'll understand the synergies available. Combat is fast and fun, very challenging (especially if you are going for the true ending)

5 hours in just can't get into it. I've played the other general shooters and enjoyed them more. No run really feels different to me.

For a roguelike, you need a fun repetitive loop, this game doesn't have that.

o jogo péssimo de otimizado, cheguei perto de fazer o final real mas continua dando bugs, além de um layout de UI péssimo e pouco responsivo, perdi runs por que o game clicou e nem pergunta duas vezes em "new game" no lugar de "continuar"

Very nice and fun. Update: Actually one of the best roguelite/likes FPS games I've ever played. It's real good.
