User Reviews
I feel a need to write a review for this game, because I feel the bad reviews do it severe injustice. I always considered getting this, but the negative reviews kept putting me off. I'm glad I finally made the purchase. I've just cleared the first area at the time of this review and so far, I really like what I see. This is akin to an old school adventure game where the main character sets out on an epic quest to save the world. I was so busy navigating and exploring the levels that I never really thought "wow this is too big, its boring". In fact, I actually wonder how people came to that conclusion since there are enemies, traps, pitfalls, false walls - literally something to find or do every 30 seconds or so. If I am to be so bold, this is akin to Castlevania Symphany of the night in the sense that all the "levels" blend into one another. That game was easily 12 hours if you chose to really collect stuff and build your character. That being said, this game could do with some ...
I feel like I should enjoy this game a lot more than I do. It does a lot right. But as many others have said, it really does drag on. I would recommend it for people who really like to take their time and don’t get bored being in the same environment for a long time. Personally I don’t think I’m ever going to complete it as I started the game a 3 times (once with each class) and just always get bored and stop about 3 hours in. But I got the game with a deep discount and I did get enough enjoyment out of the game to be worth it, so I’ll give it a recommend.
i like it
Souldiers is an INCREDIBLE work of retro gaming. this game brought me back to og Rayman. it's a long game, with each area being it's own little game world. its combat is very different depending on which of the three classes you choose up front, and the enemy variety is good too. midway through the game you start getting some tough platforming, and i'm playing on master, so i die often, but they have 3 easier settings that are much more manageable. this game is for people who remember a time when you weren't really expected to beat a game, and we played them just for the fun of doing so. this game is not for people who binge tiktok or insta. yt shorts is fine.
