About This Game

Save our planet from the cybernetic fish armada, Dark Tide, who are spreading their reign of terror into outer space! Pilot a team of four-legged heroes as they fight to free their friends and bring peace to the Solar System.

Each pilot has their own unique gameplay style to fit their fuzzy personality in up to 4-player couch co-op. Hop in a mech and play as Barker the Dog whose ship “Wishbone” recruits buddies for extra firepower, Felicity the Cat and her spread shot ship “Payback,” Lucio the Bear and his helpful shield ship “Mossy Pig II” and Marv the Rabbit in his ship “Lucky 7” with homing bullets.

Overcome overwhelming odds by fusing mech abilities to create a powerful hybrid of their strengths in co-op mode. Be ready for any situation with Barker’s super attack “Bullet Stream”. Tear through enemies with Felicity’s “Cat’s Gaze” that unleashes a barrage of bullets. Come to the aid of injured comrades with Lucio the Bear’s expanding shield “Bear Hug” that protects nearby teammates from incoming bullets. Hop through enemy fire with Marv the Rabbit’s time-slowing super attack “Fearful Focus.”

Test your might against the formidable bosses of each planet. Take on Spike the Narwhal, Vic the Sea Snake, and a whole slew of marine bad guys equipped with challenging attack patterns that increase in difficulty.

Work as a team, but be sure to grab the most plutonium from defeated enemies to see how your high-score ranks against your fellow teammates.

Can you defeat the Dark Tide before their deep-sea forces completely take over the Solar System?! Squad up and fight to take back the Earth in B.ARK!

This is a great shootemup at a terrific price. The animation and art style is pretty freaking great. I absolutely adored the cute little story of animals escaping a alien takeover of Earth, only to come back for some revenge. Brilliant! The game has four different ships, powerups, supers, and a dodge ability. Plus, it's coop friendly, so playing with friends is fun and sensible. The only think I wish there was more of is powerups. You have three levels of guns and the levels go down when you get hit. It would have been nice to have even stronger levels of weapons. But this is a small gripe for a very good game.

Like most bullet hell games, it's hard to see your own character among all the projectiles, especially with 3 other people flying around. For players who've played this type of game before, it's totally fine; they've trained their eyes to be able to see. For people new to these kinds of games, it's incredibly frustrating and for them, it feels like they're not useful (bullets hit almost nothing) and keep dying.

Really fun and cute 4-player couch co-op game, but it doesn't have online multiplayer. I recommend this game if you have friends or family to play with.

Love the animations, the way the characters are different and each have their own attacks, played single player and co-op and it totally changes the way you play, the supers are pretty awesome in co-op and the interactions between characters are very good. The insane diffuclty is also very intense, so you need a lot of cooperation between all teammates to complete the levels. This is great for kids to adults, remember the couch co-op from early super nintendo days, but with better graphics, you will enjoy this.

Great graphics and audio, fun and challenging gameplay, and the nuances of the 4 different characters makes this pretty fun to play. I hope to see expanded content come for this!

Game is a B.LAST to play. Levels are both challenging and gorgeous to look at. The Design on both the hero charters and the enemies is fantastic not to speak of the animations, at the price point its a very easy to recommend game. 10/10

Really cute horizontal shmup. It isn't going to blow your mind but it also isn't trying to. It's a solid game worth playing if you like the genre. Check out https://store.steampowered.com/curator/41559946 for more recommendations!

Why is this game so amazingly, odds-defyingly, groundshakingly good? Well, I'll tell you. BARK has taken a niche genre of game that usually focuses on punishing difficulty, overwhelming screens full of moving objects to track, and distilled the classic elements of it down to a simply adorable, sweet, accessible story that can be absorbed in five minutes and appreciated immediately. BARK is fun. Seriously fun. Stupidly fun. Fun alone. Fun with friends. Fun for longtime shmup fans who aren't afraid of cuteness. Fun for brand-new players who don't want to be dropped into bullet hell without a lifeline. It's quick to pick up and roll with, and yet, it's challenging enough to hold interest for a broad range of player skill levels underserved by the HERE THAR BE MONSTERS LADDIE brutality of hardcore shmups. Thing is...I love the brutal shmups. And I love BARK too. What I needed to do was immediately obvious, but the game was balanced to make it a little harrowing, purely for timin...

I'm not really sure why I kept hearing about this game in random places lol. Maybe if you have kids get this on sale, but it was actually a little bit challenging for kids, and there are way better things you could be doing with your time. Maybe if you're really really good at schmups AND you have kids? That's the best I can do here...
Just saying, but I do have a curator page. If you somehow like my remarks about games, you can find more of them here: https://store.steampowered.com/curator/44130985-TDP%27s-Gaming-Escapades
I feel like I have to clarify something first: This game is beautifully made and the rating I have given it, is mainly based on its single player experience. If you want to purchase this game to play it in multiplayer mode with your family or kids, I encourage you to read further. B.ARK is a shmup game that I bought a very long time ago, but never got around to playing it until recently. The devs claim that the game was inspired by saturday morning cartoons and they surely have accomplished what they had set out to do. But while the game succeeds in nailing the audio and visual aspects, it becomes a divisive title when it comes to the actual gameplay.
Production values are surely high
Seems like the developers cut no expenses in the presentation department, becau...
