About the Game

Reawaken your inner demon in a modernized version of the acclaimed ATLUS classic, Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne HD Remaster.

What begins as a normal day in Tokyo turns out to be everything but, when the Conception—an ethereal apocalypse—is invoked. • Remastered 3D models and backgrounds
  • Additional difficulty settings
  • Suspend save: save your progress whenever you need!
  • Voiced audio: choose between Japanese and English VO
  • Steam Achievements and Trading Cards

Old PS2 game that is a cult classic, verified for the Deck. Awesome right? Nope, can't play on the go thanks to Sega. Even contacted them and was told they don't support Linux even through they submitted the game for approval right? Awful company.

"The Dark Souls of turn-based RPGs" ...are the Nocturne elitists gone now? Okay, good. While there was a *lot* of stuff I enjoyed being character/demon customization, atmosphere and combat difficulty; there was also a couple things I found lacking such being the frequent random encounters and lacking story. What I despised was the horrific dungeon design, it was cumbersome and annoying and felt very padded. Overall my experience was a positive one but am hoping the next entries I play are a lot more user friendly (and by that I do not mean combat difficulty). I would highly recommend playing the game with a couple of mods to iron out the kinks because the remastering on this game is kinda garbage.

A product of its time, something you really had to experience back then. The remaster is terrible and missing critical QoL features. I didn’t enjoy it at all.

17 years later we shall ascend the peaks of divinity once again in this PS2 game with its remastered port as we journey through the vortex in our quest to save the world! This port honestly is the ideal experience in regard to SMT3, but if you have access to any version of the PS2 Disc Maniax or Chronicle, by all means, don't let me stop you from enjoying the game kicked back in your chair with a wired controller in hand. I don't judge; in fact, I'd be jealous! In regard to whether you shall encounter Raidou Kuzunoha, Dante, or neither of them with this version, that all depends on whether or not you have their respective DLC! If you wish to have Raidou get Chronicle and if you want Dante to grab Maniax, upon starting up a run, you shall be prompted for which version of the game you wish to create a file for. Note: the version you pick affects the overall content experience!

after buying this game on the PS5 two years ago (and failing horribly in the first dungeon) the hard drive got corrupted, so after a good two years of forgetting about this games existance I saw a recommended video about it and remembred the things that happened to me, after fully finishing my first playthrough I will say this was my the best megaten expirince (in my opinion) from what I played thus far (tbf I only played persona games up untill this point but still!) I would recommened this game for anyone who likes an uphill battle, an intresting story, and really really hates himself (A really good 9/10)

~20fps, input lag, blurry image, 4:3 cinematics, muffled audio. What the fuck? I can play this game on PS2 emulator and have way better experience this way.

If you want punishing old school JRPG difficulty that's fair, but Evil, play Shin megami Tensei 3. you can grind a stupid amount of levels and still be ambushed and killed by wandering demons. It's... beautiful, and there's no autosave so you havve to maintain c onstant saving discipline like back in the old days of the 80's and 90s. Traps are everywhere, the very monsters that are killing you can be negotiated with to become party members. Leveling can curse you. it's like Pokemon, but with the devil.
