Regain Earth: First Strike

Regain Earth is a small game from a solo indie game developer. You can't expect Fortnite or COD, but I really like it. If you like a mix of roguelikes, as a 3D shooter and generally small indie games, you will have a lot of fun with it. Feedback is well considered in the community and you can even vote in Discord which features should be added to the game! I think a cool idea and more game developer should do like this. The game and the beta I follow for a while now. And have been looking forward to EA release today very much. I enjoy the game since beta a lot especially as multiplayer with my friends. Really recommend the game! If you like small indie games and shooters, you will also like Regain Earth.

Played almost 240 hours so far - loving the game and the addition of the turrent grenades has added a handy dimension for single players. Looking forward to improving my skills to open higher levels. Really miss multi-player games (Defiance) for the interactions, but I will have to continue as a single player for now. Cheers, Spy57

Regain Earth is a great game to play with your friends or even alone. Because of the different difficulties and many enemies and even more weapons, the game does not fail to keep me entertained even after the first matches. I didn't encounter any bugs whatsoever in my playtime, even though it is an early access game and the graphic speaks for itself. The game developer is very open about ideas from the community and tries to make the game as appealing as possible. He even lets the community vote for the next features in his discord channel.

Game is unpolished, but is generally fun. Pricing is too high for this type of game, and should have been under $10 or even $15 CAD. Not worth over $20. While I realize that games are not necessarily made for the purpose of YouTubers being able to make videos, if you expect to have channels market your game for you (ie. free advertising), you CAN'T use copyright protected music. Regain Earth: First Strike is a small indie game about killing waves of monsters. A bit rouge-like (rather rougelite) with permadeath. You can play it online in co-op multiplayer, but you have to find someone, I will write more about this problem below. I really like building turrets to have them fight for me. There isn't much of a story, it's all about getting lots of points, unlock skins, unlock achievements, etc. The game is a slightly similar to Killing Floor, but much slower, much less bloody. There is also a paintball-mode, in case someone doesn't like blood in shooters at all. Regain Earth is a very good game in my opinion in that it comes from a single developer! Of course, not comparable to the AAA shooters of the big game companies with millions of budget. It's definitely fun. Unfortunately, you can't find fellow players online. Great game - Unbelievable that it was developed by only one single person. I bet, it took a few thousand hours until this released version. Here are some advantages and disadvantages of current Version (May 2021): + achievements + boss fight + makes fun in single and more fun in multiplayer to climb the official leaderboard + very good communication between developer and community on discord with feature voting As some gamers already noticed: - I would love to see a better AI of the enemies - different reactions of the enemies - more different enemies! - moore weapons!! - mooore maps!!! Ok, the current version cannot be compared to games of huge companies with a bunch of developers, designers, scriptwriters, but it cost less and your ideas for new features will be listened to. Try this out with a friend in Multiplayer to grab your place in the leaderboards Top 10. I like it and give it a thumb-up for its great potential. Have fun.

Well i love the idea of the game. its been done before but they have a good set up here. Its a bit ruff to start an the controls need some working with esp the controller optimization. I been playing solo an i do enjoy solo but this game is def meant for multi player. Not very easy to go far without a team mate I've come to find, sure you could tiptoe but you'll not do anything in a timely manner an that bores the game down. Witch brings me to my next point to say no one is playing the game :( . I looked for open games to find you'll search forever an not find one. Tried starting my own an host but no one joins. might have to take this to the forms page to get some friends to play with that are looking for the same thing. I'm a trophy hunter from PlayStation so now im here on steam doing the same with the games that provide them. i have a lot of catching up to do an look foreword to doing so. Ending note on the game. i had a glitch the first time i bought the game that wouldnt let me aim because my cursor would move to my other monitor and i would just click things. the solo guy making this game reached out and it inspired me to buy the game again becasue it was still on sale. VERY WORTH THIS GAME IS BAD ASS!!!!!!!!!! HOP ON BOYS!!!!! ALL THIS GAME IS PURE ALIEN CARNAGE WITH BAD ASS PROGRESSION!!!!!!!!!!

Do not listen to the naysayers, this game is a gem! I can only imagine what kind of stellar projects the solo dev will deliver next if he has a team behind him! Good job GameFlow Studios!

Okay first off, I know this game is in Early Access, but there is just so many things that would never work and would never make this game shine if not reworked on. The biggest issue is that it lacks the fundamentals of a survival co-op game. Good example is the alien/zombie looking creatures. You HAVE to run around the map in order to kill them. They don't come to you, YOU come to them, and that concept defeats the whole purpose of making this a team co-op survival game. Like what?? it also makes it very boring for that reason because all you do is run all over the map in order to feel "slightly" threatened by them and to go into the next round. Also, some of the weapons during gun play is so outright bad when it comes to smoothness. Most of the weapons you pick up is pretty inaccurate, or has extremely slow projectile. Most of these weapons are more inaccurate than a storm trooper, no joke. But again, as I stated already, I think overall the number one killer of what makes this game...
