How is this game getting so many positive reviews?
The screenshots and trailer look way better than the actual game. Sure the graphics and lighting can look nice but the game is not good. This has to be the most linear game of all time lol. Bad, boring levels with the same enemies with meh AI. You can just run past them a lot of the time. You can beat the game in 20 minutes or less. I was going to complain that you can't save but like I said, you can beat the game fast and there's not even an ending...yeah this might as well be early access. I'm leaving this review cause someone has to leave a somewhat realistic review within all these overly positive ones I think people wanna like this game cause it looks like a budget half life and is cheap, but I don't think it'd be worth playing to most people. If the screenshots peaked your interest like me, you'll unfortunately be disappointed
Check Out My Video Review!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ok015fJP2o...

This game is absolute trash. I played now about 30 minutes. The only 2 guns i've seen so far is the pistol and the shotgun. The question that i have is, are there only 2 guns? This game plays like soem one had enough money to buy HQ assets but had no idea how to make a game lol
The game is a good challange with decent looking levels For the price Escape the City is an absolute no brainer. The AI sometimes tends to act weird but in my opinion that isn´t a con but makes the game even more entertaining. Looking forward to mowing down more enemies

Garbage buggy game but good for a laugh. Clearly had some effort put into it but not good.
Dark Souls of Tarkov-like games.
Not bad for a cheap game
I payed a dollar for this game and I feel ripped off. The positive reviews, if even written by a real person, reek of some kind of money laundering because this is at best baby's first cryengine project that you'd put in your portfolio, not an actual game you'd make people pay money for. It lacks the most basic settings, the optimization is abysmal and tanks every time someone fires a gun, the gunplay feels awful with way too much recoil and the level design is a new level of amateur. There's no story whatsoever and each "level" consists of running through arbitrarily large stock asset warehouses while the incredibly stupid AI ignores or fires uselessly at you from far away. I've played pre-alphas with more potential than this. "Escape the City" brings nothing to the table and fails to succeed at even the basic FPS gameplay it attempts to copy with its bland and repetitive set pieces.
I like this game, fast pace and the game mechanics like shooting/moving fits together. Had alot of fun killing the enemies, the AI makes it more interesting and funny the way they move sometimes. looking forward for more missions!
nice single player shooter for the price
