This is a great game! A retro style with a current social feel! Some things I like about it: 1. It feel like playing one of my arcade machines 2. Who doesnt want their garden to thrive? 3. The game is explained just enough that makes you think about what you need to do in order for your garden to stay healthy 4. While there are not tons of critters/plants/baddies to understand its great fun learning how they all interact and what they do I really do enjoy playing this game and look forward to the next round of mouse clicking madness! (thank goodness for pause!)

About This Game
There are also many bugs, many robots, and even some environmental hazards such as fire and smog. Heck even the plants compete with other plants. Nothing is interested in you though: You're an immortal wind god! And you interact with everything by blowing things around and toggling behaviors by clicking on the huge amount of bugs, robots, and plants. Anything you see can be clicked. Through this somewhat indirect interaction you can ensure the survival of the garden. Though you don't have to interact a lot:
All the plants, bugs, and robots have their own behaviors and lives! They romance. They lay eggs. They eat, joust, move, and more. These are not copy pasted enemies with one track minds. Each one does something unique for you to discover. Take into account their unique behaviors to form strategies to overcome the random threats that are constantly arriving with each new wave.
Oh and you can blow things up. Blow shrapnel at locusts. OBLITERATE ALL THE MORTALS. Make them burn in atomic hellfires. If that interests you. It's fun!
!NEW FUN!
Compost now has an air hockey mode. Puck, paddles, and all. It's an alternative wave mode that's really fun to play. Good luck scoring against the AI it's brutally smart, but also fair.
Additionally I tossed in a fighter game parody mini-game. Mash all the buttons!
Extra Information:
Compost was developed by a single person over the course of 20 months. It uses the Godot engine, the best engine. Oh and I still add new content for fun.
All bug limbs, flower petals, and giblets of gore and their physics are simulated and drawn with code in absence of animations and sprites. It might not have 20gigabyte textures, but it makes up for it in originality and bug-less quality programming.

User Reviews
A fun little game that is a mix of tower defense and critter simulation. There are many various critters in the game with each type having their own behavior and priorities, some being peaceful, some preying on other types of critters, some plants having different ways to spread, some critters eating specific plants and so on, which makes for a surprising amount of artificial intelligence in the game. You don't control anything directly but instead are given power to generate a breeze that gently pushes stuff around. That indirectly influences the critters by changing where they go and what interactions happen between them, for example you can help some plant-eaters get to more food or help predators hunting. The game is based around a potentially endless wave defense mode, but you can lose if all plants die for example, so you have to keep a healthy balance between all the various plants and critters. Some achievements are easy to get while others have to be carefully worked towar...
