Well... I was loving this game until it froze on me and I lost tons of (nonlinear and somewhat confusing) post-game progress because there's apparently no autosave. Which nowadays honestly should be made clear to the player, and I don't think it was. Great game, although I am unlikely to finish it now. Played hours are not accurate, it seems because I played offline for a while.

User Reviews
A cute lil Zelda-like. It’s a bit jank at times, and the life-sim elements are neither here nor there, and locking faster movement behind a buff that resets on death is irksome but overall I enjoyed my time with Prodigal. A perfect game for the steam deck, completely made me feel like i was a kid again playing my gbc
this game is great and I like it not much else for me to say
I was brought in by the gameboy aesthetic, and kept playing for the exploration and story. Wonderful game, with more to discover than you'd think at first glance.
