About This Game

The Kingdom is in danger, and the oldest and wisest wizard in the land is the only power holding a nameless villain at bay. Three heroes set out to find the Old One and aid him in his struggle against this mysterious terror, with help from a host of powerful allies who will join the quest to defend the realm.

I'm giving this game a tentative thumbs up. It plays like a mobile skill, where each character gets one basic attack, and two special attacks that charge throughout combat. You can pause during combat and issue orders, and every time a party member kills an enemy, the game pauses so you can reassign whom they are attacking. There is not too much to it beyond that. Some light "fetch" puzzling elements, but this game would better be suited at a $9.99 price tag. Wait for sale.

I LOVE RPGs but am terrible at playing them, particularly during combat. I always play on Easy, Casual, or Story mode. When that's genuinely easier than Normal mode, I love the game. Battle Hunters has an Easy mode that's anything but easy. I keep running into combats I can't handle. So until the developers update Easy mode so it really is easy, or add a Wimp mode for lousy players like me, I'm going to stop playing. Otherwise I like the game a lot. Sure, there's no plot to speak of, and characters are less than one-dimensional. But there's a lot going on that I would enjoy if I could handle the combat.
