About This Game

A young adventurer journeys out into the frontier in search of legendary artifacts, however they quickly find their path blocked by the various monsters living there. To make matters worse the frontier town is in no shape to provide support, so our adventurer ends up helping repair the town in exchange for better equipment to take on the frontier.

Listen to the requests of the townsfolk before journeying out into the frontier, figuring out monster’s weaknesses in turn-based combat and collecting materials to help restore the town and ultimately uncover the mystery of the artifacts.
Using the right equipment is key in progressing through the dangerous frontier. By choosing the right weapons, armor, gear and allies, you’ll be able to make short work of the monsters blocking your path.
Through completing quests for the townsfolk, you'll be rewarded with new equipment that you’ll need to succeed on your adventure, and as you complete quests and get to know the townsfolk, you'll be able to help them better themselves and grow the tiny village into a prosperous town. You might even learn more about the frontier’s past and its inhabitants along the way too!

Played the full demo and couldn't put it down. Had to 100% complete the game and had an amazing time playing this game. from the combat to the lovely art style you cant go wrong with picking this game up. the combat gives a variety of difficult encounters to battle against while allowing the player to play how they want, from either gathering the necessary gear to help with fight or to be stubborn and push your way through. either way you cant go wrong with picking this up.
Fun simple puzzle game. Not particularly any RPG aspects but has an RPG atmosphere to it. Plays more like a simple puzzle game that is somewhat engaging.
One of the few games I've asked for a refund for in a long time. I gave it the benefit of the doubt and played it for a while. By any measure the game is slow, the graphics are janky, the battles are tedious, the storytelling is odd. Perhaps someone might get something out of this, but for me it just really rubbed me the wrong way and the color choices just make it look unfinished and not something I want to play.
I like it! The encounters are short enough that they don't feel like they're dragging on, you're able to quickly get through an encounter so if you happen to have the wrong weapon or equipment on hand it doesn't feel like the game's punishing you for having to go back and restart it. You quickly hop out, swap swords, and blast back through to see if your new set up will work. (This is also helped by the x2 speed setting you can turn on during battles). The enemy types are varied and require certain weapons to defeat them, there's no in-game monster manual of what enemy weaknesses are, so its all up to memory! Which I think is a bit more fun cause its up to you to strategise your way through the world and then face-palm at yourself for forgetting there's a poisonous enemy on this route. I will say it's a little difficult trying to find specific items for some of the characters (though I have only played 1hour of the game so maybe my opinion on this will change with more time exploring)...
Frontier Quest is a cute game that somehow feels nostalgic despite being released last week. It has a great sense of not making you do anything without purpose, as each quest plays a role in unlocking new areas to explore. Combat is simple and based off of equipment rather than any character stats, a change that felt odd at first but I found myself surprisingly comfortable with. It's a charming and easygoing game to pick up.
Great game, love the artwork. The sound for the characters and background is well thought out. The interaction with the characters is enjoyable. Animation is well done and each character has personality. Enjoying playing this game very much.
Played through about halfway and game got too stale for me to continue; combined with the lack of quality of life features this probably isn't worth the time and cost.
New to this and enjoying the different quests. The characters are fun and I like the varied environments. Looking forward to playing more. Would definitely recommend Frontier Quest.
I have been having fun with this game, its more of a puzzle game with light rpg overtones, where you have to figure out which combination of equipment you bring in each road in order to progress.
