Nice art, interesting story, but this is not a complete game - just some unfinished build from Patreon without any updates from release date.

About This Game
The only problem is, you're fired on your first day moving in, and your girlfriend dumps you. As you struggle to find work and meet new people, you are thrust into mystery and mayhem, after witnessing the murder of a neighbor.
An open world environment allows you to develop new skills as you progress through the game, eventually working your way to becoming the most sought-after private dick in Paradise. It's a world filled with models and wannabe actresses, mobsters and corrupt politicians.
Chapter One contains approximately 8 to 12 hours of gameplay, with non-linear story-telling and multiple ways to solve puzzles and get past challenges.
This visual novel game is filled with mini-games, adventures, and over-the-top comedy galore.

This game will be good some day, but for now, the event triggers get confused, you end up repeating things, and the game dialog often doesn't correspond to the state of your progress
This is totally not what I was expecting and a steal for the price. I play a lot of these games and they tend to look, play, and read the same. Paradise Lofts is NOT any of that. It plays like a modernized Sierra OnLine adventure game. There are puzzles, but they're not annoying and there's no moon logic; most of them can be skipped as well if you're not into it. There's a story and it's enjoyable. And then there's the artwork which is what drew me in. It reminds me of Robert "Buck" Brown's cartoons from old Playboy's and Esquire magazine. Well, I think it's fantastic. It was cheap enough for me to not care if it was a letdown and I'm shocked. I dropped $20 on Patreon and I'm not anywhere near done with the game. And there's more to come. Can't wait.
Paradise Lofts is a different kind of visual novel than the others out there., with its unique setting and art style. The story is framed around solving a murder mystery, with a number of side stories to keep things interesting. The mini-games are fun, but can be skipped if you're stuck. Later on in the game, you'll solve some other mysteries as well when you take on some other cases. These mini-mysteries are fun and diverse in the methods required to solve them. Definitely recommend this game, and I look forward to part 2.
It's a game that has puzzles (which can be skipped if needed), lewdness, and a good story. I have yet to actually complete it, and there are branching paths depending on your choices. The premise is that you are fired and dumped, and become a peeping tom at your new apartment (cuz people leave curtains open, so why not), and in doing so witness a murder (among other things). Now you're trying to solve it with many shenanigans along the way. 100% recommend if you like lewd games, mysteries, and puzzles.
I'm interested in the story. The H-scenes are cartoony, sometimes a bit too cartoony for my taste. My thoughts are not up to date, played the patreon version several months ago. Edit: played for a bit, there is a bug when we get Polly to model, you can't progress, stuck on a frame when cleaning up the back room at Dex. Otherwise it's good.
"How do I love thee? Let me count the ways." So far its 9 ways. But there's a few more tasty ladies I'm still trying to seal the deal with. There doesn't seem to be any voice acting other than an occasional "oh honey". But hopefully that will improve. The game does give the player some control over the intimacy, which is a nice touch. I try to concentrate on the more climactic moments, but I keep getting distracted by the mystery, which must be a fault in my character. The puzzles and side missions are woven into the story well, except for the guitar playing task which I find very vexing. Especially when I'm trying to watch the stage show at the same time. The animation is stiff, but that can be corrected with more funding. The artwork accomplishes the atmosphere that the author is trying to convey. And I'm looking forward to chapter 2 to see how he ties up (no pun intended) all the loose ends that he's painted himself into a corner with. All in all Its a uniquely fun diversion...
A couple of issues. The game is not complete. A lot of locations are marked as "coming later" Some quests / progress / characters is/are broken unless you exactly the right options.
I could not get Bethe after discovering June before mistaking them for the same person and inviting to your room. I could not talk to Rita about the aliens.
Maybe later when its actually finished. In steam it is advertised as a complete game. but it is not. I enjoyed the game. but seems like it needs work still.
