心境 VR / Mind VR Exploration

The good: This game is beautiful. And great if you want to learn about Chinese/Japanese culture and history. The bad: This game is advertised as a relaxation game. The game menu on first load is not in english. The only thing that was in english, was Start. Most of the time when trying to turn my head with the controllers in VR, the game wanted to teleport me, which took away from the relaxing part, and made everything super frustrating. Once in Game, I could not figure out how to bring up the in-game menu, to change from teleporting, to walking. IF AND only IF I could change to walking in the game, instead of teleporting could I recommend this game. And I would change my review to be more positive.

I don't know why, but this app doesn't like Oculus Quest 2. I gave this a positive since it seems to play fine on other headsets and it's actually a beautifully made experience. Took a couple restarts to get it running on my 32GB RAM, RTX 3070. But when it works, it's gorgeous and so relaxing. Still suffers from less than smooth framerate which sucks but I'm chalking that up to the fact that it's not optimized for the Ques 2.

This app promotes classic Chinese culture, and the app is awesome for the price. I used Index res 150% and did see motion smoothing kick in more or less constantly, so that RTX 3090 isn't wasted on this app at all - would love to experience it in res 200% 144 Hz, maybe some day. I'm using a heavily oc'ed GTX 1080. This app does indeed feel like a small vacation to China several centuries ago. Textures are great, not necessarily worse than Alyx, and the app does show the potential of VR. Might be great as a demo for guests, non-believers and more ;-)

HP Reverb G2 3070 No technical issues. Gorgeous setting, well constructed short narrative. A little museum. Well worth the price.

beautiful vr experience about chinese culture.

This is a short exploratory experience (about 20 - 30 minutes) but for $3.99 simply can't be beat. Extremely well-made, high-quality, interactive, and enjoyable. This is an app to show to people who only see VR as games. I wish the author would make more. I would easily pay double for this type of quality. HIghly recommend to everyone. Note: I ran this on a 3070 with the Quest2 (via Virtual Desktop).

Beautiful, Played with the HTC Vive and the Oculus Rift S, No issues of any kind and played very good with both types of Headsets. One thing I wish for this game is snap turning. Looks like it is made for more to come too. Taught me a little Chinese Culture as well. Thank you very much

I cannot recommend this game, in this VR, there is a game called throw the pot, in which you are to throw a arrow at the building behind you, this does not work, please fix the bug in your game

While the audio didn't work for me, the $3 I paid was well worth it with the gorgeous visual experience. If you're considering getting this, it's not a game, it's like taking a short trip to a remote location in China and being immersed in a cultural experience, something for me I found to be pleasant and enjoyable experience, albeit a short one, with the attention to detail made with the visuals.. This is what you might show off to mom and dad to demonstrate just what VR is all about.
