About This Game

◆◆What is MechNest?◆◆

MechNest is my solo project and my first work.

It's a balanced combination of roguelike, shooting, hack and slash.

The meaning of the title is "den of mecha".

◆◆ Roguelike ◆◆

Dungeons and enemy characters are randomly generated and upgrades cannot be carried over to the next playthrough. (PermaDeath)
Defeating a boss unlocks new skills and custom appearance elements.
There are no leveling or multiplayer elements.

◆◆ Shooting ◆◆

MechNest's main shooting is designed without lock-on or homing elements.
It prioritizes shooting than action.

◆◆ Hack and Slash ◆◆

Outside of the high difficulty dungeons, the game is designed to be more exhilarating than tense.
HP and shields heal automatically, so be bold enough to wipe out a bunch of enemies.
The core of the game is to fight the enemies that appear one after another.
There are no story elements.

It's fun but I was able to get enough credits to unlock everything in like 45 minutes of playing. I was able to kill bosses above danger level 100 in mere seconds. I think it needs some balancing, but for a 2 man project it's kinda cool.

Sigh, have to apologize but this is just a worse risk of rain 2. No multiplayer, less fluid, no mod support. Even asking for HALF the price of risk of rain 2 is not worth it. Not to mention risk of rain 2 usually does sales too. Hopefully it's polished to become a worthwhile game as I pray every game is good but those who are the target audience can get a better experience from a vanilla title even before adding mods into the mix. I just can't recommend it in its current state.

-You pilot a mech -You kill other mechs -You kill big robot mechs -if gun doesnt kill properly, use bigger guns 10/10 looking forward to what this game has in store for the future.
