About This Game

MBHL20 is a fast paced 3rd person hockey game! You start your career as choosing your position and your team in the MiniBall Hockey League with the end goal of winning the MBHL Cup! MBHL20 allows the user to not only grow their individual player, but allows the user full control of their team as well from a management stand point. Essentially, we have combined the fan favorite Be A Pro and Franchise Mode into one, a unique feature that will allow the user to be in complete control throughout their players career.

One of the most complex features that Halt Studios worked to deliver is the fully autonomous game play that the player can experience. When you choose to play a game, be ready to square off against fully AI players at all positions that can do basically everything that you would expect from a hockey player.

As you can see from the previews, the graphics are very primitive. What you don't see in the preview is that this game defies the laws of physics - moving your stick will randomly send it to the rafters. I did a deke and my player left his helmet behind, suspended in midair. Skating through the boards to retrieve the puck from the players' bench is also an "unexpected delight." Speaking of skating, there is no momentum; it may as well be walking. The AI players perform like drunken toddlers, randomly passing the puck to no one in particular. Stick-checking is not a quick, effective movement - your player will hold his stick in front of his body for a full four seconds. The most frustrating part of the game is the amount of time spent waiting. When you start a game, you have to wait about a full minute for pre-game announcements to finish (e.g. "Tonight's game is between Team A and Team B" and "it should be a good game"). After every stoppage in play, you have to wait for som...

Summary: I've got to say this is a promising game but it lacks a lot of things. this game lacks controller support for those who love to play with a controller. I would love the developers to add controller controls there. Player ice time is inconsistent. the gameplay is rag dolly in a sense. this game lacks the ability to customize the teams to our liking like some would love to play with real NHL teams and customize competitions i.e. workshop aspect. another gripe i have is the inability to play this game full screen to the point full-screen does not work. this game is something good if more work is done to it. the devs should improve on this game and fix the issues and add extra features. overall score: 5.5/10 game play: 4/10 core:2/10 loop: 1/10 visuals: 5/10 pros: price is good compared to the quality of the product. decent visuals connected franchise starting with player free form game play cons: no controller support no workshop content to customize and upload teams lack of extr...

Purchased this game yesterday because I like hockey games and this seemed pretty alright for the price. For starters, you can't full screen the game which is weird, the game is buggy and the helmet was improperly coded so it doesn't move with your character. I hopped into a match, and here's what a game looked like: 3 periods, 5 minutes a period. Period 1: Sat on the bench until the last 37s, got one shot off. Period 2: Sat on the bench until the last 27s, lost face-off and the ball went outside the rink, and it took 19 seconds for the game to say the ball was out of play, and basically nothing happened with the 8 SECONDS i had to play. Period 3: Sat on the bench the full period. NO ICE TIME AT ALL! Now let me explain for a second, that I was indeed on the last line, which it does state gets 1 min to end of period ice time. But why would I be on the third line if the game states that I am a franchise elite player??? It almost feels like the developer is for some reason, prioritizing th...
