As much as I would like to give a negative review for the awful gameplay, I simply can't criticize such rare games that aren't afraid to discuss religion.

MEET A NOT-SO-ORDINARY NUN
INDIKA is a third-person, story-driven game set in a strange world where religious visions clash with harsh reality. It tells the story of a young nun who sets off on a journey of self-discovery with the most unusual, horn-headed companion by her side.
On the outside, Indika seems to be a typical nun attempting to adjust to a difficult and monotonous monastery life. Humble and innocent in her appearance, do not be deceived as this young girl has also made a highly unlikely acquaintance—as she speaks with the devil himself.

Indika’s unusual connection with the Evil One leads her on an errand beyond the safe walls of the monastery. The world she discovers can only be described as a wild combination of comedy and tragedy straight out of the novels by Dostoyevski and Bulhakov.
ENJOY AN INDIE GAME WHERE EVERYTHING GOES
The subjects of religion and authority are prevalent throughout Indika’s journey and she’ll be faced with many questions along the way. Guide her to find the answers one by one before she can finish her life-defining odyssey.
Odd Meter is a small, independent studio formerly based in Moscow and now operating out of Kazakhstan. Its members put aesthetics at the forefront and aren’t afraid to tread the fine line of ethical norms. Their game is a great testament to that, as INDIKA constitutes an open challenge to the industry's established approach to creating video games.

Cool design and identity - it's misleading. Under the cover: mediocre pseudo‑philosophical unreal-junk: an absolutely linear story with a predictable, empty ending. A lazy, cheap product. The poor levels are made up of identical, dull assets. Even the grannies on the cover AI‑generated. It seems the only goal was to offend the orthodox, and even that comes off a bit thin. It reads more like the protest of rejected teenagers. You could pick it up for your collection at a 90% discount. No more.
I really wanted to enjoy this game as I love horror games and especially surreal and weird experiences but I just wouldn’t recommend this one unless you like getting beaten over the head with a horrible story. The game play is mostly okay though a lot of it is very basic. There are cool turns that you would not expect in how the game plays, but with such minimal game play I would really want a more interesting and less cliche and abusive filled story. I’ve had enough of stories playing as a female character where I have to live through sexual assault. This one is especially bad because of the religious metaphor they weave through the game that [spoiler] implies that the mentally ill female character completely loses all her holiness and becomes a monster after being abused by a man[spoiler]. I was expecting more.
I recommend this game with a HUGE caveat: you have to be a pretentious art nerd to like it. You could maybe be a pretentious game mechanics nerd, but that's a big maybe. I like this game. I went in knowing that it was trying to make me angry/frustrated and I was really fascinated by how the devs tried to achieve that. The voice acting was phenomenal, the sound design was on point, the blending aesthetics of each section beautifully complemented each other. Artistically, in terms of sense design, this game does not miss. I think it's worth playing just to experience that part. That being said, I truly believe that this game's ending falls flat narratively. Thematically the choice of ending is interesting, but pacing wise it feels more like a mid-point especially considering how strongly the game started. It is not unsatisfying exactly, rather it leaves the player wondering "okay, and what?" I will say I have always been critical of the "leave you hanging" endings. I think they are imm...
This game is amazing! - I encountered only 1 bug, restarted, bug gone, some minor animation jank, but other than that - no problems. + Story is good + Interesting characters + Amazing environment art + Quite easy, but entertaining puzzles + Absurd weird surreal humor and atmosphere I only wish the game was longer. I am looking forward to the next game!
Beautiful game. The music is phenomenal - I miss being in this bleak world when I'm not playing. It's one of those. I loved it. Aptly disappointing end - but that's the beauty of it.
Great, diverse adventure! Fantastic story+storytelling and atmosphere!
A creative mix of storytelling and typical game mechanics we see in almost every game. Executed in a way that intentionally clash and ask the player some of the same questions Indika is asking herself as she has a crisis of faith.
incredible story - a truly artistic expression of a powerful statement
