Very average. Plays like a poor man's 'Arkanoid' and the story is kind of preachy. As for this being a PC port from the Playstation game, they could have at least added a 'exit' button to the main menu. It was built for Playstation users to quit via the 'PS Button'. This is a rather annoying oversight.

About This Game

In the early 2300s, Earth is still recovering from a decades-long World War that engulfed most of the planet, except for an isolationist United States that used its power and prestige not to fight, but to reach for the stars. But when NASA’s generation ships disappear in interstellar space, only two pilots are capable of figuring out why.

Featuring 40 stages, four boss fights, New Game+, multiple extra features, plenty of story and dialogue, collectibles, a rocking soundtrack, and a fun achievement system, Twin Breaker is an ode to both the past and the future.

Twin Breaker's story is written by long-time media personality and podcast host Colin Moriarty.

Features:
- 40 exciting story levels
- New Game+
- 7 unique game modes
- Loads of power ups
- Challenging boss fights
- Story written by Colin Moriarty

Best game ever made.
LSM!
A great entry into the brick breaker genre. Controlling up to 4 paddles at once offers a good challenge, especially when combined with increasing ball speeds and a time limit. The main story can be completed in around an hour but there are a lot of alternative play modes which should provide more entertainment afterwards. A few gripes: - There is no way to aim the ball (as per a lot of older brick breakers, something solved by newer games like Shatter, Ultra Break etc). This can lead to frustration when going for the last few bricks, especially when combined with a time limit. A way to aim with precision would have been welcome. - There doesn't seem to be an exit to desktop button in the menu for he PC version of the game. I suspect the console version has been ported straight across with no changes outside of Steam achievements. I found myself having to tab out and kill the game manually whenever I wanted to quit. - It would have been nice to see a bit more boss variation (i.e Shatte...
fun game, bought for 1.99 and definitely got my moneys worth.
Really great game. The twin joystick twist is really cool. The best are the in jokes with Colin. His podcast is the best and l have been following Colin since his Gamefaq and IGN days. The only thing is there is no exit to steam option in the menu. Other than that it is a great game and is highly recommended.
No clear way to Quit/Exit To Desktop cleanly.
It's a brick breaker, but you control 2-4 paddles at once. There is a campaign with 40 levels, NG+, and several other extra modes. Good value for $10 or less. Unfortunately, achievements currently don't count as it has the "Profile Features Limited" curse. It's a shame because the creators care about the achievements. Buy Lillymo's games ! and play them ! so the curse may be lifted.
it's fun
This is a fun game for what it is. There are a bunch of different modes, and the level of difficulty varies between stages, so you're not furious at the game by the end of it. The initial story setup is a bit of a slog, but it's necessary to get to where it wants to be. After that, the story beats are well spaced and don't keep out of the action for very long. Getting the best scores on a given stage is almost entirely determined by RNG, but for the most part, that's just how these kinds of games go. I played the whole thing on my Steam Deck OLED, and it felt like the perfect place for it.
