A coming-of-age story that can be read in one sitting: the dialogues are decent, the sprites are great, the plot is simple yet charming. Please, note, that this game tramples over the Christian mythology, which can be a dealbreaker for some. Other than that, the novel is fine.

About This Game
Gloom is an ancient wraith trying to earn his way into Heaven by killing demons for an exploitative angel. Wynona is a depressed young girl who is convinced she is the Doom Bringer that will end the world.
His final task is to kill her and she's trying to die - it should be a match made in heaven. But here's the catch: She's unkillable. Gloom and Wynona will have to deal with the agents of both Heaven and Hell if they are going to discover their destinies and escape from their empty and repetitive lives.
And then there's the big dilemma: Should you save the world from a demon apocalypse, or save her soul?
Nod your head if you like:
- 90s outcast movies:
The type of moody characters and isolated urban environments reminiscent of your favorite scenes from The Crow, Reality Bites, Edward Scissorhands, and Before Sunrise. - A quirky cast of characters:
Banter with unique characters like a skateboarding angel, a demon girl-next-door best friend, and the least humane humans around.
- A dark coming-of-age tale about a young girl and her ghostly guardian:
The two main characters are stuck in a repetitive cycle of frustration and loneliness, not knowing what they're meant to do. But together they'll inspire each other to push for change, kill a few demons... and maybe destroy the world. - Scratchy hand-drawn visuals:
Original artwork in the style of 90s spandex superhero comics, with bold black outlines and heavily-inked blocks of shadows. - 7 endings to uncover:
You could save the girl, earn a place in Heaven, or cause the end of the world. Subtle and in-your-face choices throughout the game affect the sets of endings possible when you reach the final act.

Well that was great, i hope the story continues in some form. I got the ending i wanted so i am happy. The characters was great but all the pointless choices did drag the game down a bit for me as i want meaningful choices in the games i play. I would recommend anyone interested to buy this the story is pretty good tho the game is rather short.
The 90s called, they want their references back. They also said for those who got the references, your candles are gonna start costing more than your cake.
I will give this one a recommend since the story is a nice one, nothing revolution, it is a story of redemption and discovery. Funny antic, nice drawing and music. A lot of the old game and movie references. You wont find Shakespeare here, but the core story is solid. There is one big no for but since it is at the very end so i could just tune it out. Why pull the " I am the woman hear me roar here " and the bad guy, I am pretty sure trying to kill the innocent kid is more evil than being a sexist, etc.... . These things they are out of place and does not contributing anything to the story. So I would recommending buy it, just ignore a little weird ideology leaking in the game at the end.
I could write too much about how amazing this game is, but I will leave you to discover it by yourself. If you like creepy Halloween, underground, weird humor with multiple references to old cool things, then buy the game. I guess if you like VNs you can buy the game too. Also buy at full price, not on sale, game is definitely worth every cent. Note to dev: If you read this, do the next part of this gem please, it is needed. I'm betting you can do a trilogy of this story or at the very least a second part, pretty please? :) (Also include the hidden scene, you know the one, it was promised, and I looked at the decrypted game files, there is no hidden scene :( ...)
The plot is a little bit like Steven Brust's book "To Reign in Hell." Heaven and Hell are not black and white but shades of grey. This may offend religious people as it is heresy. That said it was an entertaining v.n. with two lonely characters who find each other. It has a number of endings and choices matter and they can be figured out from common sense. For me that is a big plus. The characters are likable and the puzzle of how to do that which can't be done helps keep your interest. The comedy was smile inducing not lol funny but it helped keep the mood light.
Criminally overlooked VN with a good story, amazing style and unlike most other VN quite a lot of choices or just dialogue lines. Can be confusing a lot of times though if you are not that much into 90s because there is A LOT of references but nothing game breaking I still involved into story. Looking at number of reviews I seriously concerned about devs and really hope we will see another story from them.
So far I've only completed the canon ending and I must say I was very enthralled by the story and I felt like the characters are very fleshed out! The likeable characters were relatable, and even the one character I didn't like, I was able to reasonably believe why he was such an asshole
with an ugly man bun
! Overall I also liked the art style and the music complemented the game very nicely. I do wonder however had this game featured voice acting (Apart from some vocal effects every now and then) if it would have enhanced the gameplay process. Definitely going to spend some time to get all the other endings! Edit: I took some time to get all the other achievements/endings and I must say I very thoroughly enjoyed myself and will be looking forward to a sequel. (:
Initially bought this on a whim because the developer is my friend and I thought I'd procrastinate my ass off in playing this. Glad I didn't. This is the first game I looked forward to playing while drinking beer because the storytelling is compelling and easy to get hooked on. Great delivery on the theme of mental health too.
This game took me back to my teenage years. A relatable story backed up by quality stylised art, it really is amazing that one guy pulled this off on his own! I enjoyed the 90's vibe, and the subject matter while being fantasy based was really well grounded in the reality of the modern world. I look forward to seeing what Neo Tegoel Games comes up with next.
