About This Game

Come play the new-and-improved version of Dust to Dusk on Steam!

Game Overview:
Set in a modern Japanese office, this horror-inspired adventure title employs the unique Zapping system,
which allows you to play the story from the point of view of multiple characters.
Although zapping isn't required to reach the game's true ending, it does fill in plenty of gaps and will
help you better under each character's motivation.

There are four different endings, with three "non-true" ending that conclude with a staff roll.
Try and find them all!

Although it is a horror game, there are no chase sequences, no jump scare-type images, or game overs.
Play the game and take in the after-office atmosphere at your own pace.

Story:
Rumors are abound at the Tsukimiya Corporation about a child ghost
that wanders the office halls. In fact, the hushed whispers and paranoia
have grown so readily that the office now shuts it doors promptly
at seven o'clock each night--the same hour this child comes out to play.

One night, Jun Tsukimiya, the corporation's chairman, oversleeps at his
desk and is left alone on the cusp of dusk. And what does this child say
to him when they finally meet?

"You know nothing, Jun Tsukimiya."

Just what is it that he doesn't know? Whatever it is, the clock is stuck
at seven, and he has little choice but to find out.

I wasn't too sure what to think about the overall plot until I got everything in the gallery and unlocked one last side story. I don't want to spoil anything, but I would highly recommend that you make the effort to do so as well. Otherwise, you'll really be missing out. If you enjoy horror-themed adventure games with heart behind them, you'll love this. I had a great time, and it was packed with way more content than I expected given the one dollar asking price.

More mystery than horror but still a great game for it's price, would actually pay more for it. If you like focusing on the story and exploring (I really loved how much text is hidden in the objects you don't have to interact with!) I highly recommend it.

Dust to Dusk is an RPGMaker MV horror game about a tragic death, ghosts and three friends forced to face their past. This might look like your typical RPGMaker horror game with spooky chase scenes and noisy sound-cues, but this one isn't quite like that. There are no chase scenes, but the game still managed to make me feel tense and at the edge of my seat with its spooky atmosphere and engaging plot. As the story progressed I was kept wanting to know more, and the game's unique mechanic, Zapping, played a part in that. "Zapping" is the ability to switch between multiple characters. Throughout the game, different characters are placed in different situations and the player is allowed to see the individual perspectives of these characters. Sometimes zapping is limited so the player can't zap at pivotal moments in the game, but for the most part you're able to zap at any time. Sometimes zapping is required to make progress, but it isn't always necessary, however it's necessary ...

A short, narrative driven RPGMaker "horror" game that I would recommend for the $0.99 asking price. I put the word horror in quotation marks as I would consider this more of a thriller/mystery- though there were a couple of times the environment startled me a bit! Gameplay is minimal and a bit hand-holdy at times (I'm not sure if the hard difficulty turns off object highlights or not), but the story makes up for it. I highly suggest completing the gallery portion so that you can view the special ending~ (if you are having a hard time completing everything like I did, check out the developer's website for a walkthrough!) Overall, this was an enjoyable experience that is most certainly worth the price and more.

I've never played a game like this before, and it was quite the experience for sure. The story for how short it was still managed to surprise me in ways i didn't see coming. I enjoyed the zapping mechanic to get different mechanics and some of the different choices provided. Overall it's almost a must buy for the price it's at if you have the money I recommend you get this i'd give it a 8/10

For $1, I can't really complain it gave me something to do for an evening. As a previous reviewer mentioned I heavily recommend that you get 100% on the gallery to unlock the bonus content. There are a few riddle puzzles but I didn't find any of them to be particularly difficult. When you are progressing through the story, generally speaking you will want to swap perspectives to the other character until you are forced back to Jun so you get the most out of the narrative.

Been on my wishlist for a while after this was recommended. The story was amazing even if the game was short. Love the plot twist and the 4 endings. I wasn't expecting some kind of creepy ghost art. Even the non-relevant items that can be touch reveals the thoughts of the characters, so you'll eventually know what is going on. The story is too good for it to be worth of a dollar. I need more of this.

Dusk to Dusk is a cute paranormal mystery adventure. Although brief, the charming writing and characters keep things entertaining, thanks to a high quality English localization. I also must point out the consistent atmosphere enhanced by the stark level design and fantastic soundtrack. I'm definitely interested in playing through again to unlock more extras and see the other endings.
