About the Game

In Bromeliad you are stranded on a pacific island where you are a Human-Bear. You transformed into a Human-Bear because of a mysterious, unknown creature that gave you its strange venom. After that, a giant bear jumped on you and you became a mutant.

You don`t know what has happened, or where you are, or where your hunter team is. You have to survive, gathering materials to build tools, bases/houses/castles. You will need to hunt for food, explore, tame animals and creatures and much more... but the only strange thing other than you being a mutant is that, at night, strange creatures crawl and sneak over the island trying to find you.

Features:
  • Survive and explore this living island.
  • Chop down trees and break rocks to craft tools, build bases...
  • Tame animals and creatures and keep them as pet, to protect you from enemies.
  • At night creatures will attack, so be ready.
  • And much more...

Your destiny is to survive and find an ancient element hidden on the island so that you can go back to being normal as a human. Then you will be able to remember everything and return home, but remember, its not so easy to get there because you are not alone.

I can`t recommend this game at this time, my play of it was not enjoyable apart from the glitches when killing things, watching them go all glitched out was hilarious. Check out my video: https://youtu.be/u8sWGHM-GBs For some reason base building did not work at all for me, when I chose foundations the resources would vanish from my inventory, yet no foundations appeared. So I could not build a thing. General crafting worked, but there were items that I had no idea what they were, the image was not helpful and no description displayed. Trying to harvest from trees worked, but when the game felt like it, spamming the mouse button resulted in occasional and lazy swings and some trees just seemed to give endless resources. Hitting rocks resulted in what seemed like metal ingot, not ore and not one stone received from them. This meant having to walk around picking up stones off the ground which is slow and cumbersome. Since I could not build stuff I could not find a way to cook meat, so...

Wouldnt recoomend to buy it. There is no tutorial for the gameplay. That would be fine if the game would work correctly. You have a rough outline of your goals in the "survival guide" and it tells u to build a pickaxe, which again would be fine. If there is a recipe for it. There doesnt seem to be a way to unlock the recipe too. Without the pickaxe you cant even build structure. At least it seems that way. Another negative point is, that you dont have item names for the recources in the recipe window.

Rough around the edges but has some unique ideas. Not too difficult to survive. You could probably grab a few hours out of it before waiting for new content. Gameplay Below https://youtu.be/klIkZWLSAiQ Definitely worth a wishlist at least.

if you look past the fact that it is a pre alpha 1.0 version (31.Jan.2021), then this is a good game. I´ve only played it for 20 minutes now but I´m looking forward to the next updates. Greetings from Germany

It has most of the basic survival elements, and still needs more content added but its a chill relax game to play, Of course since its new and early there is plenty of fixing as well. The base build is ok, I think the animals battle can be tuned up. But if this is the genre you like for the price its worth it.

The game and concept are very cool. It's beautiful visually, but the game is still full of bugs which makes gameplay almost impossible. Im looking forward to more updates which improve gameplay.

Presently unplayable IMO. Too frequent graphics crashes, no map markers, lack of interface information and after you crash, all progress is lost. It's too bad because it's a nice looking game. Just not ready for game play at this time. I'll revisit it in an update or 20 when they resolve more bugs.

Bought the game, installed it played for 1h and half, quit, uninstalled and refund it. honestly it could had been a somewhat decent game for its cost worth but since it has been "abandoned" still full with glitches like floating fish, infinite trees, rain that breaks down structures like acid on paper, not to mention the no information on how to do anything (given that most are intuitive enough but the rest is "figure it out yourself"). In all i don't think as it is its even worth playing for free let alone paid, but if you do get ready for only 1h or less of fun.
