About This Game

Get ready to experience POSTAL from a brand-new perspective!

This boomer-shooter spin-off of the fan-beloved Running With Scissors’ franchise will take you further down the rabbit hole than any previous game of the series. You’re not in Paradise anymore, and things are about to get weird, as POSTAL: Brain Damaged happens within the twisted psyche of the POSTAL DUDE, himself! Yes, a whole new, retro-modern, action-oriented, skill-based approach to POSTAL. "Did HYPERSTRANGE pull it off" - you might ask. Oh, yes. It seems we did:

Wild setting? Even wilder gameplay! While staying true to POSTAL’S trademark tone and humor the game plays very different to all the previous titles in the series. What you get is fast, challenging, and full of varied, meticulously designed enemies and environments. If you’re surfing the tidal wave of throwback shooters or enjoyed the latest installment of that game where you single-handily take on the forces of Hell invading Earth, you will feel right at home (even more so if your home smells really bad).

Make sure your body is ready to:
  • Explore an all-new, hand-crafted world full of surprises
  • Experience the challenging, fast-paced gameplay with quake-like movement and outrageous level design
  • Take a trip through the rich, twisted, ever-changing environments of POSTAL DUDE’S deranged mind
  • Shoot a variety of insane guns at some of the freakiest enemies to ever grace computer screens
  • Follow the all-original story line making the POSTAL-VERSE continuity even more effed-up than it was
  • Hear Corey Cruise returning as the POSTAL DUDE, with guest appearances from other fan-beloved voices
  • Enjoy the POSTAL series trademark dark, crude humor and glorification of fantasy violence

It’s a mad game for the mad times, kids! From the studio that brought you ELDERBORN and Blood West, comes the first-person shooter you didn't know you need in your life - POSTAL: Brain Damaged.

Somehow, this game is one of the best boomer shooters. Hyperstrange knocked it out of the park. Highly recommend.

Game rules. Once I learned how to bypass weapon fire rate limits through peeing the game really opened up. I beat it on Hard and it was a good challenge but I didn't die too often. Crack and armor goes a long way and the game is really generous with pickups. It's such a blisteringly fast game; the weapons kill fast and if you look away too long you die which I love. The movement also rules even if I tend to hate sliding. The jumps being Q3-esque is fun and as much as I wish there was circlejumping like Q3 I'm still fine with how the game controls; that's what the slide is for! It's great. The guns are wacky. They feel great. They look pretty and as genius as making the LG do the UT99 orb shot thing, it sucks that it doesn't do much damage. That's probably my only complaint with the weapons. The enemies are... varied! Jesus Christ there's a lot and while it gets hectic I didn't ever have trouble picking out who I needed to kill which I appreciate a lot. Artstyle goes a long way and...

I'm not gonna lie, I was playing through this game fully expecting to drop it. I don't know what it was exactly that was bothering me so much as I was playing it, it just wasn't clicking. Then i learned through experimentation that you could make the shotgun fire faster by micropissing yourself, and it became some of the most fun I had in a while. Good game, best game.

A chaotic and humorous parody of pop culture, memes, and real life events fused into a fast-paced Boomer-Shooter. They aren't kidding when they say POSTAL Brain Damaged is DOOM Eternal on acid. This is a respectable and mental spin-off to the classic POSTAL series which is already known for its off-color humor, and this game takes it to another level. Don't let the absurdity of this game fool you as I really think it is a decent shooter experience with entertaining levels and a variety of enemy types. The weapons are direct references to other FPS titles, making this game a parody of many things in the form of a fever dream. Play this game if you want to piss on your enemies, kill furries, and just an outright drug-fest bonanza of a Boomer-Shooter.

I beat this in January of last year with 6.9 hours played. I thought to myself: Wow, I can never play this game again. So I promptly deleted the game and reminisced on that until recently where with the DLC coming up and my wonderful partner playing Postal 2 as of late - imma replay it. Just honestly writing this to immortalise the 6.9 hours.
