1st impression - I am loving it. It is a combination of active and idle. I have only unlocked the 2nd world and am still have quite a few unlocks to do. The voice acting is fantastic. The humor is top notch. I have actually giggled a few times (yes, I am embarrassed to admit). This is a top down shooter in which you control your ship as it rotates around the planet. You are able to upgrade to multiple ships to control. In addition you can add planet upgrades. As you save more citizens and add them to the Ark, you are able to put them to work and enable additional bonuses. For the price - This game is excellent. Very polished. You can see the dev put in a lot of time and effort.

Really well made short incremental. A few suggestions below on how I believe the game can be improved. Note it contains minor spoilers. QOL: [olist] [*]Colour the lead ship (the one that follows the mouse) slightly differently to make it stand out more when things get a bit more frantic [*]Autofire toggle [*]Some form of currency symbol, it was confusing what the options under "World" were when they were just numbers, until I realised it was currency [*]Use "Esc" and/or "Right click" to back out of menus same as clicking the < arrow button [*]Rename some of the buttons to make them more obvious at a glance "World" > "Defense Structures", "Ship" to "Ship Upgrades", "Former" to "Research" [*]A button to sell all cargo that is more easily accessible from the main game screen, or otherwise an upgrade to purchase in Former or Ark that automatically sells cargo at a later stage in the game [*]Menu close animations should be a bit faster to reduce the wait when going through multiple m...
Really fun game and excellent voice acting! Doesn't take long to get through and that's a shame because I really enjoyed it. I got all the achievements, maxed out most of the upgrades and reached the final planet in 7 hours. I really hope this developer, who so far has been incredibly responsive and quick to update the game whenever issues come up, carries on building on his success and adding more content. On a side note I would totally watch an animated series narrated by him. There's real comedy talent there in a Stephen Merchant / Simon Amstell, British sense of humour type of way. I hope this game gets more content soon. I'm hooked now hehe
It's cute. It's a little buggy: "Former" skill-tree won't unlock a couple of paths, so the whole tree is effectively dead with no way to progress. Some of the descriptions aren't very clear (what does "Damage: 47%" mean in the Ship Upgrades panel?) Plus, some graphical problems. Overall, though, a fun little game and worth the price.
It's an absolute gem, with what surprised me as also including a wonderfully voice-acted narrative alongside a lot of Portal-esque humor!
this game is good as hell holyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
Starts out well, but extremely shallow on content. Increasingly poorly balanced, and requires ever more clicking (to buy thing's you've already bought dozens of times). The arcade/shooting part is more of a novelty than anything fun or challenging. Even the story/voiceover that starts out promising simply ends without going anywhere. edit: Based on the developer's urging I tried playing again, starting from a fresh save. I made it through a few levels.. far enough to see that there still aren't any buy all/max buttons, the resolution settings are still wonky and don't save, and the controller support limited to moving and firing (after figuring out that the new mouse controls totally break it if enabled). I'd like to know how it turns out, but I have enough joint pain already without enduring this repetitive strain injury DIY kit of a game.
Nice mini game.
At the end of the day, I've gotten more out of a number of free games. I don't mind paying for incrementals and idles and the game is cheap. However, the content is very shallow IMO. The upgrades are uninspiring, the overall prestige system is tedious and you'll quickly find yourself without the desire to keep doing the same thing over and over. The grind I can handle... if the payoff is worth it. I do think the dev has promise though, and I hope they'll learn valuable lessons for the future.
Fun game, and the voiceover is funny, well acted, and enjoyable. I like leave the game running while at work, come home, buy everything I can with the collected money, then blow up anything that has the audacity to come near the planet I'm protecting. Fantastic blend of incremental, idle, and active mechanics - all are well done and blend nicely with each other. Not many games make we want to leave my computer on all day when I'm not in front of it, much less make it the first one to be maximized when I sit down.
