About the Game

1917 : The Prologue is a first-person narrative psychological horror with the elements of an escape room.

Outside the entrance door, which you have just entered, the rain is gloomily drumming on the umbrellas of rare passersby, and the wind roughly tears off the yellowed leaves from the trees, taking them away and throwing them on the ground. Just like many destinies and lives were thrown and broken in the fall of 1917 in Russia.

You climb up the crumbling stairs, and the only noise — the noise of your steps — echoes along the entrance, betraying your presence. Now you have a door in front of you, dimly lit by the timidly quivering fire of a match. But what is this door? Why are you here? Who are you anyway? Do you remember? No?
You have only one way to find this out.

To enter the door and to pass all the logical chains using your quick wits; by learning bits and pieces to restore everything that was lost from your memory.
And remember — there is always a choice! Even when it seems that everything is destroyed and there is no turning back. Even when it seems that nothing can be returned.

There is always a way to look inside yourself and do the right thing. Can you?

This game is a bit over my head and in the 'not for me' category. Does that make this a bad game? Nope. There isn't anything wrong with the game itself and it does seem like a very good game, which is why I am giving it an up thumb. Everything about this game is very well done, but I just couldn't connect with it at all and got bored really fast. I thought this would be scarier and more straightforward than it was. I'm not great at puzzles and didn't like how little direction there is in A.) Figuring out if there is a puzzle to begin with -and- B.) Blindly clicking around trying to brute force a solution. Not really fun for me. Boredom set in and I exited. Is it worth the price? Nope. All in all, this is an incredibly short game(less than 2 hours) labelled as horror when it isn't scary and has puzzles that are just as obscure as their solutions. If you need a bit more action than this, I'd say skip it. If you *must* attempt this game, I'd say do it at about 75% off.

Interesting story Some textures look like they're a Half-life 1 mod running on low settings way too short, took me about less than an hour and a half to complete it Not worth $15

okay so...I did think the puzzles were clever. The first room is the hardest by far because for me I knew 2 letters and not the 3rd but guessing works, there are some things not in english like the entire last part when you entire the hallway which really is less than a minute of your play time, if you speak this language though the voice acting is lovely and pleasant to listen to, this is less than 2h game so take that into account when you buy...I'd say it's worth 7 because it's short and english is not in the last part but still liked this.
