About This Game

Lead the people of the Tribe of the Dawn as they venture deep into forbidden lands. Complete quests that shape their personalities, impact their wellbeing, and decide the fate of their community. Ensure the survival of your populace in a grim fantasy world inspired by Slavic folklore.

Erect palisades, develop structures, and grow your gord from a humble settlement to a formidable fortress. However, expansion won’t be easy! Your population is constantly at risk from enemy tribes, gruesome monsters, and mysterious powers that lurk in the surrounding woods.

The versatile quests in Gord will have you venturing beyond the walls of your settlement, either to prevent calamity from happening or to address a personal matter of one of your subjects. The Scenario’s main objectives will guide your journey, while side quests and random encounters will dispatch you into the wilderness to hunt down legendary creatures, uncover secrets of the Ancients, or vanquish a nasty scourge. Expect the unexpected.

Set the stage by choosing from a wide range of Scenario options, and try to emerge victorious. Take it easy or set an impossible challenge; almost anything can be adjusted! Choose from a variety of primary objectives, select the level size, the intensity of raids, the environment you’ll play in, the types of enemies you’ll face, starting resources, and even the severity of weather. Of course, don’t forget the Horrors.

A healthy populace is the key to survival in Gord. Every aspect of your settlers’ lives - from illness, to hunger, to the death of their kin - can impact each subject’s Sanity levels. Keep a close eye on them, as once a subjects sanity reaches a critical point, they will suffer a breakdown or even flee your rule.

Please the Gods with your prayers and they may give you access to their spellcasting abilities. Incantations vary in nature - some are offensive while others are defensive - but they all help to tip the battlefield in your favor. Conceal areas from your enemies, gain control over threatening beasts, or turn an unholy rage against all who dare to oppose you.

The Chronicle explains the history of the Gord universe that blends real-world Slavic mythology with dark fantasy. Pages torn from The Chronicle will be scattered throughout the game’s landscapes, giving dedicated players an additional challenge of discovery. Collecting as many pages as possible will provide insight into the origins of the Gods, ancient factions, and the mystical Whisperers.

Gord: Not going to blow your mind but it does scratch an itch. I had a good time with Gord. I breezed through the campaign on Normal difficulty and that felt more like a relaxed walk through the woods than a gauntlet. If you want something that’ll make you sweat, don’t be shy: turn that difficulty up a notch. Base-building? Barebones. Pretty basic, but still fun. The real magic happens when you’re out in the wild finding loot for your custom named units, and sending them off to fight horrors. Exploration is a highlight. You’ll stumble into unsettling quests fueled by Slavic folklore, loot up or lose your sanity. The atmosphere is pure dark fantasy. Now, it’s not all sunshine. This is a short, lean experience. If you’re in a hurry (or not a fan of exploring every corner of the map), you can breeze through the whole thing in just a few hours. And don’t expect deep builds, most of the action happens outside the gord, and you rarely have to defend it. All said, Gord is ...

I really enjoyed this game. Loved the characters, story and the mechanics. The slavic folk lore is really interesting. Made me get some books on it. Would be nice to get some new dlc type things or a future game similar to this one. Just really like it. Thank you for the enjoyable game!

Finished campaign and I have to say, it is a great game! I see people saying there are lots of bugs but I had only two bugs during 10 missions of the campaign. Once, a unit stuck in the trading post and once, the game crashed in the final mission after a legendary monster fight. Story is interesting, lore is fantastic and refreshing (Slavic/eastern European mythology), map design is good (no pathing issues with units), voice acting is fantastic. Overall, well made game in my experience.

The concept of "Gord" is very interesting. It has a pleasant visual design. Story, sound and voice acting are enjoyable too. Gord tries to merge many different styles but doesn't manage to pull the strength of any single type. The controls are okay but it cannot be compared to RTS strategy games. However, it completely fails at gameplay and the essential core of every game, the game rules. Additionally, there still some annoying bugs. Gord has great potential but it suffers too much from a long list of issues. Some examples: - The tutorial is rubbish. Not only the pop up message that explains combat rules appears, after the player has fought 31 fights which is too late. There's a lot of missplacement. - During the campaign, available characters can suffer status effects and the tutorial tells "visit an eremite's den to remove this status effect". It doesn't work. A citizen can be forced to keep physical and disease penalties regardless and constantly spread the illness. - The game wa...

Gord would be a very good RTS game, if the bugs were solved. Unbuildable and undetectable terrain ,units getting stuck in the terrain when exit buildings.. there are bugs that ruin the map and the entire experience.
