About This Game

Ravensword: Undaunted is a hexen-like shooter RPG spinoff set within the Ravensword universe, focusing on dungeon crawling experience with intense melee and staff combat.

TERRIFYING DISCOVERY

Ancient scriptures talk about a myth of the existence of The Lightlands as the opposite side of Shadowlands, both harmonizing in synergy manifested as reality. With Shadowlands being overrun and torn by Demons of the Underworld, no one knows what happens to Lightlands until it became forgotten and lost to time. Until one fateful day, the Lightlands seemingly revealed itself back to humanity. Rifts to the unknown started to appear on Tyreas, and its elusiveness baited many adventurers, and none return. Takes the role as one of the King’s Hidden, an organization that seeks and destroys any imminent threat to the land, tasked to investigate various Rifts to seek the truth on what’s going on.

HACK AND SLASH UNTIL IT'S DONE

With varying degrees of an arsenal left by the cults and inhabitants of the mysterious island, use it to overcome the vile armies and earn shards, the only currency accepted by inhabitant of the island. Slash through hordes of undead with any Swords, Maces, and Axes you unlocked; or outsmart them with various devastating Staves that can obliterate them in a second.

A GATEWAY TO THE PAST, AND FUTURE

Traverse through the Lightlands and discover various rifts of realities within, a portal to alternate past, and a grim prophecy of the future. Travel into an altered future of Tyreas where humanity has ceased to exist. Beware and tread lightly, as the Lightlands has been overrun by a mysterious being called “The Shapes”, seemingly tinkering with time, making the Lightlands dangerous and the alternate dimension all corrupted.

TRAVEL THROUGH FORSAKEN PLACES

From foggy wood outskirts to damp abandoned old castle, explore an ever-shifting places infested by undead in a stage-based world system with various encounter types waiting for your death. Explore, plunder, and send the island back to the void.

AN ARSENAL OF TIME

Unlock various melee and magic weapons and improve their lethality by upgrading their intrinsic potency, if you have what it requires.

STAY AWAY... abandoned game with hardly any content. Glorified demo. They should release it for free.

They took my money and ran. It wasn't a lot of money, but a few months into their early access they stopped doing anything with the game, and haven't even bothered to tell potential buyers here that the game is dead. This could have been a really cool game, but instead they chose to do _this_.

Unfortunately, while I did have fun with this title, I can not recommend an early access game that has gone over a year without an update.

For 8$, this game rocks. I have games on my list that cost double the money, and aren't nowhere near the fun. So, its very barebones, but that's the idea. Its a hack&slash, sort of a mixture between Hexen and Witchaven. I really, REALLY appreciate the simplicity of its systems - you kill enemies, you earn XP that gives you levels. Between missions, in a hub, you spend skill points to increase your health, increase your melee or increase your magic. You have limited inventory of 16 spaces, in which you keep all your weaponry, such as plain melee swords, maces, axes, and staves such as Plague (poison projectiles), fireball staff, icewand, etc. All weapons lose durability when used, and once broken, they're gone - so you have keep collecting them and switch them up, if you don't want to use them. They differ between themselves in damage and speed. In addition, your staves use mana (blue for weaker attacks, green for stronger), which you collect around as items. So far, it is pretty shor...

Hahaha, shamelessly they say "The game is close to completion" in the Early Access description, jokers. Don't waste your money. Just 1 medium level, abandoned, they are making another game. Pity, looked promising. Don't buy Ankgara their next game, 1 scam is enough. 1 "garden" of floating rocks very *short* jumping level. 1 "wood" of rocks good enough medium level. --------- 1 blocked level I could not access. 3 level in "construction".

Last update on this game was eight months ago...and one of the very first weapons you have access to...the left the lorem ipsum in place of its description. I mean. That's a bad sign. Will give it an honest try, but that bit hit me hard enough I backed out to write this. Update: Unfinished, unpolished, and abandoned. There's not much to do--as if the mechanics and most of the bones were put in place, and then forgotten. There's a lot of good potential here, but no one seems to be at the helm of the ship. You can actually lock yourself forever in the levels if you do not choose to leave when the prompt comes up--there is no second chance there. After two years abandoned, all that remains is a relic of something that had the makings of a sleeper hit, but never got out of bed.
