Prince of Persia: Warrior Within™

Darker, edgier, and brutally stylish. Warrior Within took bold risks — a grim tone, heavy metal soundtrack, and more complex combat. Not everyone loved the shift, but for many, it was a defining chapter. The platforming remains tight, time powers are satisfying, and the Dahaka chases? Pure stress in the best way. 🟢 + Deep, fluid combat system 🟢 + Non-linear level design & multiple endings 🟢 + Time manipulation still feels great 🔴 – Edgy dialogue & tone hasn’t aged well 🔴 – Camera issues and backtracking can frustrate 8/10 – Ambitious and intense. Flawed, but unforgettable.

Warrior Within built on the ideas of the first game and took them to perfection. They cut down the enemy count, added combos to combat which made it more exciting, made parkour more dynamic and once again parkour with puzzles here is just AWESOME. The game got edgier but that’s not a downside for me I’m into that vibe. The story is solid though I was a bit disappointed we didn’t get more cutscenes. The only drawback for me and a fatal one that kept me from giving it 5 stars is that they make you go through the same location five times in a row. It gets seriously tiring. Yeah supposedly something changes with each trip through time but damn it I really didn't notice any changes. It’s kind of like a Metroidvania without the Metroidvania. You’d expect to get new abilities that open up new areas but nope. Everything else was F-ING GREAT especially the music
