Fun game with great story line and good puzzles ranging from easy to very challenging. Very very linear but the story line was engaging enough to want to keep on the ride. Really brought me back to the experiences i had playing Kings Quest, Police Quest, etc series way back in the day (showing my age now).

User Reviews
Alien Function is the epitome of indie jank. The graphics and sounds appear to be creative commons assets, but the script is original and all the money has gone into the voice acting. The comedy is very dry, and is delivered entirely deadpan, but there were a couple of puns that gave me a chuckle. It's ostensibly a point-and-click adventure game, but the first half of the game is more a linear sequence of puzzles where you are given clues how to adjust various knobs and levers to proceed to the next task. Toward the end of the game you gain control over your character and can walk around to solve things in the traditional style, but there are no red herrings or side quests. Every hotspot is necessary to solve a puzzle. Most things are not interactable at all and only become available once the story gets to that point. In most adventure games this sort of mechanic is frustrating, but in this case there are only a handful of locations to begin with, so it's no big deal. One neat thing i...
This is a hidden gem amongst many indie games, never would have found it myself (thanks, adventure gamers). Awesome original puzzles, best kind of humour and also that nostalgic feel reminding me of all the great oldschool 3d adventures. Looking forward to try other parts of franchise!
I've only just started but the game looks very polished and clean once you're actually playing it. People are saying that the graphics are bad? I don't agree, I think they are beautiful and they have their own olden aesthetic that's very fluent and clean in this game. I'll write more as time goes on but so far it's pretty cool. Voice acting is decent, and the puzzles are a little tricky but interesting also.

The idea is good but I would like more point & click and less typing... ✔️5/10 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UoZb28Kew-w
And don't forget to Subscribe to my Youtube

Join my Steam Group
Phantastic!
Decent little adventure puzzler. Surprised it's so unknown. Don't let the ugly graphics put you off, as there's some solid gameplay here. There's some light humor, interesting puzzles, and quite a bit of hacking/navigating around computer systems which I wasn't expecting. There is a pacing issue at the end where you're forced to walk very slowly round a circular route solving puzzles. Really they could have removed 90% of the empty ground here to speed up the game and made the ramp up to the finale much more effective. Rather by the end I was kinda just glad it was over, even though up to the near end I had enjoyed my time very much. But that aside, it's very much recommended for those that enjoy a point and click puzzler with mostly rationale puzzle solutions.
sometimes you just gotta click things and see what happens or move your mouse around and look for new things to click you may not have seen before. but its a good challenge for anyone tired of shoot and kill games
