About This Game

The world has fallen victim to a deadly virus, zombies now roam the lands. While running for your life you stumble upon a small city. Claim this city as your own, protect it with your life and maybe other survivors will find you.

Gameplay

You start off fighting zombies with nothing more than yourself and a pistol. Each time a wave of zombies is killed, they come back stronger and with greater numbers, but so will you! After each wave you get the opportunity to fortify the city, buy weapons and find new survivors.

Multiplayer

Defend the city from hordes of zombies with up to 4 people! Start a lobby with your friends or if you don't have anyone to play with, just use the online matchmaking and battle alongside strangers. Each lobby has the option for voice chat so you do not have to worry about communication.

Develop your city

You start the game off in an empty city, but you are here to change that! Soon other survivors will join you in the battle against the zombies. Some will give you the option to buy new items while others will help you by either defending your city or by researching new useful items for you. But it doesn't stop there, you also get the ability to place structures around your city to fortify your position. Walls, barbwire, gun turrets, guard towers and explosive barrels are some of the structures you can build to help protect the city.

Weapons

BiteVille contains over 50 unique weapons. You can obtain these weapons by letting your people research them or by trying your luck in the mysterybox. Each weapon has its own rarity ranging from common weapons, that will help you at the start of the game, to legendary weapons that even the scariest of zombies fear.

Progession

At the end of each game you earn progression towards cosmetics. You can unlock new skins and a wide array of hats to personalize your character, so your looks feel just right.

Bought it after seeing the trailer posted on Reddit. The concept seems interesting and the gameplay shown in the trailer looks fun, but as of 2020-10-26, this game does *not* deliver. First off, the menu is clunky and doesn't have information like key bindings, the "back" button is non-function on the settings menu. There is no "quit" option, you need to alt-f4 out. Going into a game, the opening cinematic has your character shooting zombies, but they couldn't be bothered to actually have him point his gun at them, he just magically shoots them while in his "idle" animation. You get plunked into wave 1 without any explanation, which isn't terrible, I can figure out how to shoot zombies. In the break after wave 1, a timer pops up, which is the only indication the wave is over. No idea how to build anything, or research anything, the NPC just sits in a chair, no idea if I can interact with him in any way. I start mashing all the keys to see if anything happens and mistakenly start the...

WoW! Imagine buying standard Unity assets that have been used in 30 other trash zombie games and then stealing the code from a zombie Unity tutorial and then exporting that result as a game to Steam! Yep. Here's my first impressions video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IXgf8KY4Qm8&t=1s Here's the zombie Unity tutorial where this developer stole code from to make the majority of this game: https://itnext.io/it-follows-creating-zombie-enemies-in-unity-part-3-of-unity-gamedev-series-988da87c8273 ----------------------------------------- https://imgur.com/zYLKvoz Hey developer, maybe next time you steal someone elses work or a tutorial, you should actually spend ten seconds to change the name of the .exe to whatever you're going to sell it as on Steam eh? *winks* ..Doh! Busted! Oh my! ----------------------------------------- This developer is so lazy, he couldn't even make any way to exit this trash game. ESC doesn't work. There is no option anywhere to Quit the game. ...

No idea what the controls are. Couldn't find an exit button. Looked like a fun game, but how the hell do you play it? :update: Okay, so a tutorial was added. I now know how to play. I have an Exit button, this is also a plus. Gameplay loop is entertaining but clearly I suck at this because that first boss shows up and I might as well be shooting paper at it.

The idea for this game is good and the lego graphics works. But that is where the good thing stops. Bad menu system. It's very stripped. I couldn't reassign my keys. Not everyone like to have reload on 'R'. And I've no idea what the total amount of keys is used, because there is no overview of the keyboard input. I also missed the abilities to change graphical options, but is lacking a great deal. As far as I can see, there's not even a quit button, so alt+f4 it is. I could probably look beyond these things, but the problems with the gameplay is what makes me give this negative. There are some major stuttering in the FPS, particulary noticeable when turning, and it gets worse and better at random it would seem. This was something that also happened to a friend I was playing with, so I do not think this was a special case with me. Another annoying bug was that I suddenly lost the ability to aim with a rifle I had bought. Add to this some stupid zombies that will take a definity path tow...

Fun game. Best played with friends imo, because the bosses get pretty strong after a while, and you can't buy ammo for weapons you haven't researched yet. Maybe add a function that you can drop money or weapons to teammates since the money is generated on your own performance. All in all, fun game for around 5 bucks.

TL:DR good fun, worth a try, cool guns Normally not my genre, but this game is good fun! The combination of building, protecting survivors and progression adds a whole world of variety. Game is thrilling but not too scary which some zombie games overdo, this one is just the right balance. Bosses are great - unique attacks require a different strategy each game. Fun gun animations. Beginners tip: walking backwards is quite slow so zombies will catch you if you only walk backwards. Also mystery chest can unlock some pretty epic/powerful weapons early on. I recommend - plenty of content for the price with potential to add more.

BiteVille is a great game to play when you're down for some laid back zombie shooting action. Its more fun with friends tbh. The building aspect of the game makes it stand out from other zombie games. Def worth the money.

Updates are still being made as of December, but there are still so many glitches that it ruins the game play.
