This game is undoubtedly better than the original Desert Golfing, however, there is a major glitch for 144 hz users such as myself (or for anyone who owns a monitor with a refresh rate higher than 60 hz). When the game is first opened, the game will run at 144 fps and will play more than twice as fast as the intended speed. I know this for a fact because when I minimize/click on a different window and click back onto the game, the fps locks to 60 fps and the game then runs at the intended speed (Additionally, the game does not run when the window is not selected, which is a bit of a nuisance considering the original game does not do this, but I'm unsure if this is intended). It would be in the creator's best interest to patch this glitch ASAP. Giving users who own monitors with higher refresh rates the opportunity to blaze through the game is a huge and unfair advantage. Beyond this, the "Golf Every Hole on Mars" achievement is unobtainable. Assuming you completed one hole every 30 s...

About This Game
Golf across an infinite* rocky Martian surface. Discover golfing obstacles that make us Earthlings gasp in awe!
---
*Infinity is impossible to represent on any non-quantum computer. In actuality there are roughly 25,770,000,000 golf holes in this game.
In 2020, NASA will launch the Perseverance rover to search for life and golf on Mars. The journey there will take 200 days,
If you were to play one hole of Golf On Mars every 30 seconds during that journey, you would only be able to complete 0.002% of the game (576000 holes).
If you were a paleolithic hunter-gatherer gazing up at the Red planet one night during your traversal of the ice bridge connecting Russia to Alaska
at the last glacial maximum 24515 years ago and a time traveler brought an iPhone for you and your tribe to ritually play a hole of Golf On Mars every 30 seconds,
it would take until the present day to complete all the holes.
But this is not a realistic simulation.
For example, if the ball is 16 pixels wide on your screen then the typical hole will be 1200 pixels away.
Scaling this to the size of a real ball (1.68 inches), it's as if the hole is only 3.5 yards away!
A realistic 18 hole golf course where the fairways are 3.5 yards away would only require about 1300 square feet of land.
However, gravity on Mars is 38% that of Earth's gravity, so you could hit a ball 7 times farther, or roughly 1400 yards for a good player.
This 18 hole course then needs to be to 64000 square feet. You could cover the entire surface of Mars with 241 billion of these golf courses.
Therefore, you could easily fit all the holes in Golf On Mars on the surface of Mars.
Mars is par 3, so aim to finish in under 77 billion strokes.

Good news: There is indeed Golf on Mars! If you liked Desert Golfing this game is a no-brainer that will probably last even longer. So far I'm 100 holes in and it feels more polished than Desert Golfing in almost every aspect. You can give spin to your shots, the camera is more interactive so the border of the screen does no longer mean defeat and there is a little settings menu which also has a Restart button, that hopefully has a safeguard (I didn't dar touch it even with only 100 holes played). The environment is also more varied and in my short time with it I saw clouds (wow!) and rocks that move when you bump into them. There are mentions of unbeatable holes in the reviews of the mobile version. I haven't had need for it yet but apparently you can skip them (and every other hole) after 25 failed attempts. I hope they won't be too frequent in the later stages but right now I'm not too worried.
Desert Golfing with better ball physics, more varied holes, and a uniquely procedurally generated course for each player makes this an easy sell, especially since it's cheaper than a hamburger.
It's the sequel to the best golfing game of all time, with added mechanics such as spin/the camera moving, and options to make the game more playable. And it's only $3 for basically infinite enjoyment. Buy this game now. November edit: still fantastic
This game has 1 billion levels. That's all I am going to say. 50/100
If you're familiar with Desert Golfing - this is that, but better. Cheap, simple, relaxing fun, at least until you get stuck in a hole with no escape. Luckily, unlike Desert Golfing, you're able to skip a hole after 25 strokes. You also have more smooth courses, the able to put backspin on the ball, and to easily reset the game. One thing I hope to see changed, perhaps, are the achievements for the game - currently only four, each for completing a certain amount of holes: one hundred, one thousand, ten thousand, and one billion. It could definitely use some "get 1 hole in one" "get 5 holes in one" etc achievements, but my main gripe is that one billion, while funny, is simply not possible during the course of normal play. Anyway, pretty minor stuff. Would heartily recommend this for a relaxing time putting a ball over the dunes of Mars. Edit: After a few hours playing (and almost 300 holes), I've actually seen a pretty decent diversity in not only landform shape, but also diffe...
its golf, but on mars. Fun game at a low price point for some short term entertainment.
I've put in 20,000+ holes on iOs (along with 2.5 playthoughs of Desert Golfing)and felt the need to purchase this game on every platform available. This is probably the perfect 2d golf game. I absolutely cannot recommend it enough.
Mindless but in a peaceful way. Good second screen game if you want something on the extreme end of undemanding.
Exactly what it claims to be
