Action SuperCross

It's interesting to see that this and Elasto Mania (its sequel) only had a discount in mid-2023 the last time. But boy these are classics that are worth playing! Elasto Mania has a lot of new features (hence the Remastered name) but this one comes in its pure version with Dosbox emulator in the works. Many of us played these two in secondary school that we began in 2001. We exchanged chat messages on floppy disks where we used an xls file to message one another. 2 years later we finally got to know the world wide web and joined the gaming community of this game via IRC and of course on their respective websites. Lots of opportunities to play various cups and also to meet foreigners and learn English by chatting with them. The game is a Hungarian product but the biggest playerbase is found in Finland and if you check the official website (Moposite) the forums are still active. Nice to have this shareware classic on Steam after all these years at a fair price. It's a simple DOSBox bundle, so there's no modern widescreen enhancements or achievements - just cloud and workshop support. Despite the 4:3 aspect ratio, I think the simpler aesthetic holds up a bit better than Elma visually. A fair amount of the levels were tweaked and reused in Elma, but there are some differences in physics and level design that make it interesting enough to replay, and the lost levels are a nice bonus.

I just love this game. When I found out that it was available on Steam I had the same feeling as when I received a CD-ROM from my grandmother in 2000 on my birthday (I still have it). Thanks for being part of my childhood.

If you're not secretly playing this on the library computers at lunch time and alt-tabbing out every time the teacher walks past, you're playing it wrong.

If you're an Elma fan, you might as well play this for the historical interest because it's 3 bucks, but it is largely the same exact game. Otherwise, just buy Elasto Mania.
