We are two friends Neil (the artist) and Edward (the coder), we started making games as a hobby back when we were still in school. Thirteen years ago we quit our day jobs and went on to found Lighthouse Games Studio and have released multiple top selling games including Shark Attack Deathmatch, Comedy Night, Avatar Deathmatch, and many others.
Not my kind of game. I expected more exploration and survival like in Subnautica but Death in Water 2 plays more like a deathmatch shooter with wave based combat.
Annoying and stressful. Poorly laid out maps that never gives you enough time to pick up the three chests before the inevitable killzone waves begins. You can go chase them during, which sometimes works, but is just another annoyance for the player to deal with, amids the hordes of different kinds of sharks that you use the same dodge on start biting for you. They are also accompanied by merfolk who throws spears at you, which also are easy to dodge, but still just doesn't really add anything interesting to the experience. The game runs nicely and looks ok and the general concept is fun. However this whole experience of grinding through maps that never let me feel any accomplicement other than getting very much needed upgrades on weapons is absolutely not worth your time nor money. 4/10
