I went into Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 hoping for a tactical, modern sniping experience where every shot mattered. What I got instead was a half-baked stealth game with broken AI, laughable exploits, and physics that feel like they belong in a tech demo, not a finished release. Enemy AI is brain-dead. Sometimes they spot you through foliage at 600m, other times you can stand in the open or sprint straight past them without raising suspicion. Alert states are inconsistent, and once you know how the detection delay works, sneaking becomes trivial. Movement is broken. You can strafe-sprint and build up “inhuman” speed like it’s Quake. Fall damage is random: a pebble can kill you instantly, but landing on the right rock edge cancels all damage. This kills immersion fast. Level design encourages cheese. i like playing sniper games and was eager to get started with contracts 2. The maps are not completly open world and mostly empty and not in most areas. Sniper ghost warrior is still a much better choice!

This game surprised me, its not a particularly difficult game but there are a bunch of challenges to increase that difficulty. I bought this game very cheap and i had great fun. It reminds me a bit of the old school shooters. Not overly complicated just good fun! There are a few mechanics that needs to be flushed out more but other then that i liked it. 8/10
Good game
I didn’t play for very long maybe I should have but I really didn’t enjoy this game. It felt a bit too much like a mobile game in some ways. To be honest, I only picked it up randomly during a sale without looking into it first, so that’s on me. I might give it another try at some point, but for now it just didn’t click with me.
