Troupe The Ultimate Review About the game itself, the game does not try to reinvent the platform formula, it actually feels like an old school platform game I grew up playing, at some points even the nostalgia feeling clicks with small references from big games like Castlevania. The gameplay is well done for most part of the game, but there are some complains of my part like the way it takes a really long time for the camera shift down when you’re trying to look what’s bellow you, the bear-trap being extra punishing and some glitches that I triggered with the invulnerability ability. The overall is a positive gameplay, it doesn’t feel rough at all, the game is a smooth platformer. The plot is not one of the most complex I ever saw but it’s does the job and tries to innovate within the genre. The short book pages cut-scenes are beautiful I kinda wish all the boss fights started with one of these, at least at the first time you get to the stage. The dialogues for most part hav...

About This Game
Conceived as an exploration-driven game, the player initially wandered around the castle alone, and later, gained a whole troupe of companions. In addition to just wanting to leave the castle, the player now aims to rescue his co-workers.
Despite the inspiration in 2D platform games, the player is not limited to linear pathways or where to start the game, having complete freedom to decide which order to take and rescue his team, gaining new abilities as the game progresses.
The game's art, music and plot are inspired by circus culture and medieval fantasy aesthetics. Come and discover the journey of this clown who is fated to battle this way to save his colleagues and in the process discover truths about himself.
Troupe is set in a fictional medieval universe and a cast of five characters, each with their own story, goals and abilities. And the castle where the entire game takes place is divided into three sections, each with specific characteristics and challenges.

Very fun and simple platform game, love it. Perfect if you're a fan of something like Hollow Knight and are looking for a game that feels more or less like a light version of it.
Excellent platform game, worked very well on controller. The game has a certain difficulty, and I really liked the bosses. Very beautiful art and good soundtrack to listen to. The story is also sensational
The game is really good, reminds me the old ones but way better to play. The grafics are amazing and the soundtrack is super cool! Congratulations!
Very nice platform game. The style is different and cool.
Good platform game. Love circus atmosphere and Troupe totally get it with its art and sound.
Nice sounds, interesting story based in circus elements and a well balanced difficulty.
The game's art is really fantastic besides the great sound effects
Movement feels janky. No map (perhaps you get one later). Just another solo platformer that feels more like a devs first project than a satisfying video game.
I underestimated this 2d platformer when buying. It's a platform game that impresses in the art and plot details and it DOES NOT make the player's life easier, AT ALL. Either you learn and do better than previous attempt or you'd better just give up and play something softer/gentler for you. I really recommend it for those who are looking for challenges.
