For me, Breaking Lockdown reminds me of playing Star Wars: Jedi Knight (Dark Forces II). You've got the level design and layout, the bright, colourful lighting and the light puzzle elements. There is some trial and error to the game-play and certainly some of the in-game achievements relate to the multitude of ways that the player can be killed, but for the most part this is a game that just wants you to have some fun for an hour or so. I felt that the music and sounds worked well to create a surprising amount of atmosphere. The visuals just took me back to a kind of game that I loved to play (and still do) and I enjoyed a certain nostalgia when playing. The upshot is that, this is a first game by a first time game developer and as such you can expect a roughness that will undoubtedly improve with newer releases and newer games. Making games is a learning curve. I look forward to see what projects the dev tackles in the future.

Note: This is the first game of a single developer. Pros: I really like the menu screen/videos and the music choice Movement is smooth You can choose between 4 languages and now have a esc-menu with volume adjustments. Player-Deathanimation isn't that bad looking, sometimes funny Cons: The voice over at the beginning is a bit chopped off and doesn't transport the feelings for me. Also a bit loud. Some bugs and design choices that look like bugs. Overall: There are some bugs, it's a short game (and the first one). It was fun to play for a while and get all (most) the deaths and eventually Jenny!

Pure trial and error. At least you get achievements for dying. Awful game.

Breaking Lockdown is a solid first game from the dev. Good voice acting and a creepy atmosphere. It's a fun game about escaping a city Lockdown. The game is pretty challenging and includes lots of achievements. Does Breaking Lockdown have some flaws and or minor bugs, yes, but considering the dev made the game in about a month and is just starting on his journey of making games I think it is pretty impressive! Making a game is not easy, and I am happy to support an indie dev who is following his dreams.

For a first game this is really good. Voice acting, 3D environment, and lots of achievements are all good pros about this game. Of course there are a few bugs, but nothing you can't look past. Lot's of achievements, lot's of ways to die. It really is a good first game, and if able, you should support the developer and get it!

Great first game from exciting new games maker. A short well timed game about an apocalypse, you leave the house to search for your girlfriend and are confronted with a variety of ways to die, from drowning to zombie and exploding electrical cars. Great fun and well worth your time and money for a laugh and some great details (love the graffiti on the walls) Looking forward to the next game.

Short game with a nice ambiance that gets you a couple of jump scare. It's a bit tricky to find the solution but once you get it it's worth the price.

Did I ever tell you what the definition of insanity is? Insanity is doing the exact... same fucking thing... over and over again expecting... shit to change... That. Is. Crazy. The first time somebody told me that, I dunno, I thought they were bullshitting me, so, I shot him. The thing is... He was right. And then I started seeing, everywhere I looked, everywhere I looked all these fucking pricks, everywhere I looked, doing the exact same fucking thing... over and over and over and over again thinking 'this time is gonna be different' no, no, no please... This time is gonna be different...
